Wherever in the world I've travelled to, I've been treated well and I've been treated politely (because they're paid to). What you see in the pictures are exactely what you get in terms of your accommodation but, you get so much more... From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed warmly. Vy gives you a detailed map(she prepared it herself), color coded with attractions, places to eat, all you need. If you'te not sure where to go, she walks with you there. I'd the best experience in Vietnam during my 3 days in Ho Chi Minh, thank you Vy and her mum for going above and beyond to make sure I did! At 5* hotels you're treated like a king/queen but at Vy's guesthouse you're treated like family!
Amazing location, just behind the main backpacker street however it’s still quiet so you can’t here anything and can sleep. Super clean. The lady who owns this place is the nicest person we met in Vietnam. Gives you a little map with all the main places on with a highlighted colour code system for food / places to see etc. she also booked our trip to Cambodia for us after. And also booked the Tunnels and Mekong delta tours for us. I can not fault this place one bit. Such an amazing stay. Stayed here for 4 nights.
This is an absolute gem of a place. Easy to find in a side alley between The Liberty 4 Hotel and the Elisia Hotel. Don't worry, you'll get really easy to follow directions from the owners. Everyone's really friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Vy makes you a welcome drink and then gives you all the possible interesting information about the city you could need. The wifi is strong and the shower is amazingly powerful. When I'm back in Ho Chi Minh, I'll definitely be staying here !
This hostel has a prime location - we got a private double room which was nice and bright, clean, great shower and good TV channels for relaxing. The host, VY, is what truly separates this place from any other. She not only gave us tons of information, but personally escorted us to her favorite food spots and ordered for us, made us complimentary Vietnamese coffee, and even walked around with us to help us secure a new accommodation (we only booked one night and they were sold out the next day) she helped me set up the grab app on my phone with a Vietnamese number (this alone saved us untold amounts of money). We would and probably will return to HcMC just to stay here and hang out with VY. Thank you so much for making us feel at home in this chaotic and crazy city - you are an amazing host and an inspiration for my own rental business! All the best, Cannon and Mary…
Rooms are very simple, no frills, bed comfy enough, a/c worked well, little safe and all-in-one bathroom included en suite. Don’t plan on having a hotel experience in the room. The great features of this place are the contact to your hosts. They stay up all night to let you in, and serve free Vietnamese coffee or tea in the morning starting 7am. Your host will explain the area, give you a map, and personally bring you to the 2 awesome breakfast spots nearby. Try both!! Very centrally located, you can do all by foot from there. Don’t be scared of tue back-alley location! It’s very safe.
Vy’s guest house has generally got to be the best place we stayed in Vietnam. We stayed for 3 nights and Vy and her family are the most lovely, welcoming family.. you really feel at home! The map Vy gives you when you first arrive and explains all tips for the city is so helpful! We booked tours with Vy at a really good price and also Vy booked our bus to Cambodia for us.. I could not recommend this place more! Wish that it wasn’t fully booked as we would have stayed even longer! Also the location couldn’t be better, close enough to the bars / nightlife but far enough away that you can sleep at night with no noise! It is within walking distance to the war museum, the market etc as well.
You're in heart of all HCM has to offer but it's the beautiful and gracious Vy is the "X factor" who made my first visit to Vietnam such an unforgettable experience. She went out of her way to show me where her favorite street food stalls were and assisting me in getting around the city. Thank you to Vy and her family for a truly amazing visit to Vietnam.
I am speechless..the experience i had in this guesthouse was incredible. Vy the host and her family are amazing.. She is chilled, helpful, kind and funny all in one. I Highly recommend this place cause it’s worth it. Cozy, clean and quiet. Thank you so much Vy,you’ve been wonderful.
The best place to stay in district 1...really quiet, nice, perfect location in the smallest and typical street in ho chi minh.... just perfect as the family who manage the guest house....i will come back to this place
We stayed here three nights in a private room, and we were so comfortable here. Our hosts were so accommodating, even allowing us to check in after midnight due to a late arrival. The rooms are very nice, with air-conditioning and daily housekeeping as well as fresh towels even without asking for it. What especially impressed was the detailed map they gave us, with specific highlighting of key points and ranking of which attractions to see first given our short duration in the city. We also booked an inexpensive tour to the Mekong Delta as well as Cu Chi tunnels, which was very affordable and we enjoyed very much. In the morning, they also offered us free tea, which was a nice start to the day. They also offered a competitive currency exchange rate, which was especially helpful given that this was our last stop in Vietnam and we only wanted to exchange a few USD. Overall, we highly enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again and come back to Vietnam.…
