Pros - amazing location across from the palace. Good breakfast. Nice room, with big garden tub. Cons - hard to get information when I reached out to reception. Long wait for elevators most of the day. Weird check in/out process (they wanted me to pay upfront and had to have someone to check my roon).
The hotel is located in the center of Saigon near to everything 5-10mns of walk you can also use taxi or grabb if you don’t feel like walking. I booked this hotel because of their Fitness Center/Swimming pool and buffet. Unfortunately due to Covid-19, fitness center was closed, no buffet but instead we can have breakfast in the room. The pool is open 7Am to 7pm. I was a bit desappointed because nothing was mentioned. Luckily, I met Ms. Hyunh a really professional and friendly receptionist, she arranged me a lots and was very understanding. She upgraded my room and gave me a really nice one which I like because the bathtub was open in the room. The only reason the hotel don’t have 5 stars is due to the service in the room. I don’t want to go in details but for a 4* hotel each details must be checked properly, customers don’t need to ask about this or that that must be done by the staff. Also I was vegetarian so no meat like I asked but staff gave me a full American breakfast which I asked without bacon or sausage.. the only things I ate was fruits and eggs sandwich but fruits weren’t fresh and I have bread and boiled eggs instead of eggs sandwich (like i said small details count if you listen to your customers). Again, Ms Hyunh did her best to arrange the situation even apologized for things that not under her control. She is the perfect exemple of how I call a great customer service that I expected to receive when I book 4* or 5* hotels. Also (a minus point) the buffet was extremely poor for a 4* hotel. Not a lots of choice. So if you’re a big eater I recommend you to eat outside. Because of Ms. Hyunh work til the end, my stay was better I feel like someone was actually listening AND understanding my situation so for that I recommend this hotel. Big thumbs for Ms Hyunh! Thank you for your great job!!…
Although externally and in the public areas the hotel looks very pleasant I was very disappointed with the room I was allocated which, although supposedly a double, was very small and very scruffy, desperately in need of redecoration. I mentioned this to our tour guide and she agreed and although I could not move that night I was able to be assigned a different room the following day which is definitely much better and larger. It is very much a typical tourist hotel.
Should have known from check in....we were given our room card...proceeded to the lifts which by the way are super slow....head to our room....use the electronic key...door opens and two guys are standing there....i apologise head back to reception where they apologise and give me a different room key. I walk in and look around to find the blanket on the bed doesn't even fit the bed....a look in the bathroom and although beautiful I needed a ladder to get in and out of the bath shower...and if you're looking for a good night's sleep...forget it....the noise is deafening from the nightclub. Breakfast was however lovely and our room was cleaned while at breakfast........after a swim in the pool we went back to the room to have a random worker walk in on us....when my husband went out of the room to see what he wanted he said nothing it's ok....thought this was a bit weird. There are definitely better hotels around.…
We spent two nights at the Central Palace, whilst visiting Ho Chi Minh City. The hotel is well located for exploring all the sights, but away from the noisiest night life. The room was fine. Our only issue was the shower creating a stream of water onto the bathroom floor. It seems to be a wet room bathroom, but it didn’t really work for us. The roof pool & bar was a nice area to relax after a day exploring. Breakfast was buffet style with a wide selection of options. The staff were helpful and very polite. A very well located a good value hotel in the heart of Ho Chi Minh.
Once we got AC squared away, this was a great hotel. Pillows were quite comfortable. Since we were in Ho Chi Minh City for Tet, this was an exceptional location. Great breakfast buffet. Very attentive staff.
First off the hotel is in a great location, right near the markets and independance palace. I do have some suggestions for improvement though: 1) Rooms 1-5 on each floor are quite noisy and it can be difficult to sleep at night. The hotel should think about double-glazing at least those windows to control the noise. 2) Beds are firm, european/asian style. Some travellers won't be used to this. Personally I like them firm too. 3) bath/shower has good pressure and hot water, but water pools on the hob and runs onto the floor. This then falls on the floor and there is no grade in the tiles to slope towards a floor waste to get water out. I think the rooms should have a grade towards the bath to get rid of water on the floor, my wife slipped and fell. 3) The bath hob is really high. Combined with a slippery floor it is a bit dangerous. Here you could have a tiled step and/or rougher tiles which will give more grip. Alternatively, do you really need the bath? 4) Bath plug mechanism didnt work 5) Wifi and tv were good, but you should have a separate VLAN for each room. I could control other people's chromecasts. I see you have unifi gear so you have the ability to configure this. 6) You should have an exhaust fan in the bathroom to stop mold from forming after showers. This will mean less work for your staff cleaning it too. 7) I think an iron should be in each room, and maybe a microwave 8) Hotel transport from the airport didn't really go as planned. We spent a long time trying to call the hotel and driver and organise a meeting point, not something we really wanted after flying and tackling a city we were unfamiliar with. 9) Breakfasts were ok, fairly good mix of western and eastern.…
Although quite a nice hotel, the noise from outside let it down. We stayed 10 nights in this hotel. Would have been a little more enjoyable if the hotel allowed us to use the rooftop amenities ie spa pool and bar. We were turned away a number of times. It seemed they were constantly booking it out to corporate functions. Covered the spa with a stage that was partially in the pool. They have a function room but don’t seem to use it. Bathroom although looks great with the see through window floods every time you take a shower and the bath/shower would be a challenge for anyone of age getting in and out being so tall. Staff were very friendly and helpful
Common areas were clean and taken care of, bathroom was very clean but some stains on walls and hairs on floor wasnt the best first impression. The breakfast was good and enough western choises as well. Not sure about the value, we stayed during new year so the prices were a bit too high but so it was in every hotel at the time. I would have given 4 stars but unfortunately it was impossible to sleep even with ear plugs and a pillow over my head with the super noisy bar down the street..
Perfectly located, nice hotel, nice rooms, staff friendly and very helpful rooftop pools is ok. Unfortunately had a bit of confusion over our bill when checking out, but apart from that would recommend.
