We had a great stay at Silverland Yen Hotel. The room was very clean and spacious and the rooftop pool/bar was a great place to relax after a busy day exploring Ho Chi Minh's District 1. Breakfast was good and the complimentary afternoon tea was a really nice touch. Staff were all excellent and really helpful. This hotel is very well located with Ben Thanh Market at the end of the street and central Notre Dame Cathedral area around 5-10 minute walk. Highly recommend.
This hotel couldn't be situated in a better location! It is a quaint little boutique hotel located in the old French Quarter. Everything is within walking distance. The lake, Train Street, Beer Street, lots of restaurants, tourist places, you name it. All the hustle bustle of Hanoi as soon as you step out of the front door. And inside, peace and quiet, lovely hotel staff, very friendly always greeting you with a smile. Breakfast is included, and very good too. The rooms may not have outside facing windows, but they were clean and comfy. We did not have any complaints. From all the hotels we stayed in during our tour, this one was the best!
I had a wonderful stay at the OSH in Hanoi. I was staying by myself, and the hotel staff took great care of me (particularly Sarah) - giving me tips for avoiding pickpockets, helping me to cross the road to a taxi and even packing me a snack when I had to leave early to catch my flight and miss breakfast. I would thoroughly recommend staying here.
Oriental Hotel, Spa & Suites in the Old Quarter was a fabulous find! From the moment you walk through the door the customer service is top notch! The staff is welcoming, accommodating and English speaking. The free breakfast buffet and to order is all you need to make it through your day exploring the sights and sounds of Hanoi. I used the spa for a 90 min. hot stone massage. The spa was clean and the service beyond my expectations. A definite “must do” if time permits! Service, location, get my 5 star rating!
This hotel is a must. The location is PERFECT, bars/restaurant/ tourist activity all within a short walk. Everything you need is right here. I could not fault the staff of this hotel who go above and beyond to ensure you have the perfect stay. I recommend spending the little extra and getting a room with a window as I stayed in both of the room types and the window option is massive with the biggest king bed I have ever seen. Words can not describe the staff of this hotel, Thomas the hotel manager is a true asset and his team follow suit. No task is too big for them and they will do everything in their power to ensure you have a wonderful time in Vietnam. The hotel is tall and small but so are all the buildings in that area. The rooms are very clean and nice and I would recommend this hotel to anyone I know. I loved this hotel so much I stayed 3 different times on my tour of Vietnam. Thank you to Thomas and all the team for everything they did for us and our wonderful stay in your hotel. I will remember your kindness always.…
This hotel is in a fabulous location to see Hanoi! The hotel is a real gem with an exceptional staff! The manager Thomas was amazing at making our stay as enjoyable as possible! The breakfast was fantastic as well. I highly recommend this hotel!
The location in the old quarter was a short walking distance to many excellent shops, restaurants, and shopping sites. The rooms were clean, and the inclusive breakfast in the morning was excellent. More importantly, the staff was incredible. They went above and beyond to provide excellent service from greeting me by name whenever I walked through the door or ensuring that my transportation/tours all were in order
Stayed here as part of our Tui southeast asia essentials tour. 2 nights then one night in Halong Bag before returning foe one final night. Reception staff and manager were excellent, all spoke good English and always greeted you with a smile. It's a very narrow hotel between other similar buildings only one room and a corridor wide so no outside windows in the rooms. However the rooms are well appointed with good A/C, tea and coffee making, free bottled water and a minibar as well a hair drier, TV and the usual complementary toiletries. My only criticism is the rooms could do with a few draws and bedside tables. Breakfast was excellent with eggs, burgers and various other things cooked to order. Cereals, yogurts, fruit and various hot asian dishes were also available as well as bacon etc. the waitresses were very efficient and again had a good grasp of English. The hotel itself is well placed if you want to sample Hanoi shops, street food, restaurants and about 100metres from the beautiful Hoan Kiem lake where you can visit the temple on the island and the water puppet theatre. The hotel looked after our cases while we were away for the one night on a boat in Halong Bay. A very well run clean hotel in an excellent position which I would recommend.…
1st time in Hanoi and one can find the fast pace and busy streets a bit nerve wracking, took a while to adapt, Hotel is situated in a good location, did have to change rooms the first night, not anything to do with the Hotel and totally out of their control, although they acted so promptly, Staff here are amazing, some of the most friendly we have ever encountered and we have travelled. Totally recomend.
We have stayed in 5 hotels in the last week and a half, and this one still stands out about the rest! I have never experienced such amazing service at a hotel in my life! The manager ( I believe his name was Thomas) gave us the warmest welcome! The breakfast was outstanding, the location was perfect, they even gave us a small bottle of wine, a miniature cake and decorated our room for special occasion. From the welcome drink, to walking us to our transport to the cruise, it was top to bottom the best service we have had! Thank you for your hospitality!! We wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else and it was one of the least expensive hotels we booked!
