We had a great stay at Sunshine Hotel in Hanoi. The staff were very friendly and went over all effort to be helpful. The room was clean and quiet. The free internet in the room was a big plus. Sunshine has a convenient location, the Silk Road and the restaurants and shops in the Old Quarter are within walking distance...

Service in both was really good: helpful staff( arranged all our tickets for train and bus), rooms were clean, nothing to compare about. Even the second time they gave us a free upgrade, as they were missing our reservation( due to renovation in the other Sunshine branch), staff- super helpful, I truly recommend.

Stayed at sunshine hotel for 2 nights recently. Was very disappointed with the service here. Despite stating breakfast was at 7am, we arrived downstairs and they told us to wait until 720. Upon doing so, our orders took an extra hour to arrive, which delayed our booked tour at 8am, that the hotel staff was aware about. To make matters...

We got a very nice room. Even with a PC! The only thing that was less good was the bathroom, which was a bit old. In any case, really good value and I would definetelly recommend it. We paid 20 US Dollars for the room and breakfast.

The rooms are great, with a lot of amenities. Desktop computers, refrigerators, large closets, decently updated bathrooms, A/C and new televisions. Be sure to negotiate for prices. Tell them how much you want to pay. I knocked the room rate down $10 no sweat. The travel services they offer are priced much higher than the agencies on Ma May. Location...

Very affordable spacious room, very good buffet breakfast (homemade and with enough choice), and you even have a computer in your room with internet connection. Cleanliness was very good compared to Hanoi standards and the location is great, yet not so noisy (our room didn't look down Ma May St.).I strongly recommend it since it is the best place we...

Located in the heart of the Old Quarter but away from the dingy Cathedral area but close to excellent restaurants and shops. Decent rooms and good breakfast. Great travel desk with staff who can arrange most everything for sites around Hanoi and the north. They will let you stash your bags there if you go on a couple day excursion...

Based on TA reviews, I spent my first night in Hanoi at the Meracus. A relatively luxurious room (I didn't realize this until compared with later accommodations) big bath, ammenities like slippers, and very clean (awful breakfast). However, despite my request of a balcony, my room was practically windowless. An understandable problem. I awoke early to scout another hotel. The...

We stayed for two nights at Sunshine 1 Hotel on 25 and 26 December 2011 when we first arrived in Vietnam from New Zealand. I'd booked it several weeks prior and wasn't required to pay a deposit. We also opted for the airport pick-up service that they offered which my research showed was only a dollar or two more than...

I would not stay here again. There is constant noise from the street below, banging of pans from the restaurant and the people and car noises just non stop. We were in Hanoi for 3 nights, but after realising how noisy it is have booked into another Hotel in a quieter part of the old quarter. Much better value too...
