Conveniently located right near the center of the Old Quarter, this hotel gives you walking access to all the tourist sights of Hanoi. The desk attendants are very helpful (in English) and amiable (especially Thang), dispensing info and tips on everything needed. The dining room provides western and Asian fare. The rooms are more than adequate, though some walking up...

Stayed here the third time now. Staff is nearly all the same. At least at the check in desk. Some rooms are mid level so you have to climb up a small flight of stairs to reach the rooms. Lovely location near all the various cafes and shops. Pretty safe to go out alone though not too late.

After a long flight it's not what you want to see when the taxi pulls up at your hotel - it's closed for renovations. Minor panic. However a staff member welcomed us and explained that we'd be staying in the sister hotel opposite. The room was comfortable enough but outdated - shower over bath, drawers stick, tv was not flat...

We stayed here in 2008 for two weeks and didn't think twice about where we wanted to stay when we returned to Hanoi for two weeks. The hotel had been fully renovated since we were there in 2008 so it was nice to have an updated bathroom and updated features in the room. The hotel manager, Thung (sp?) was the...

The staff at this hotel were the highlight of my stay. They went above and beyond in their customer service. I unfortunately become sick during my tour and was unable to join the tour for a few nights. I decided to stay at this hotel during this time to rest. They were very friendly and I become very familiar with...

We stayed at the Hong Ngoc Dynastie for one night as we came back from Sapa. The hotel was very good and extremely well located. It's a great price vs quality hotel and service is good. There would be a few things to improve to make it outstanding though - the bedroom was great but the water wasn't draining properly...

I recently stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, as part of a tour group. The hotel is in a great location, I will give it that. Also has a great breakfast. The room was awful. Boasting some 50 lavish guest rooms, each a harmonious blend of Vietnamese traditional architecture and modern facilities, they are equipped with comprehensive amenities and a panoramic view of the city. Bringing out the shopaholic in you, Hong Ngoc Dynastie is conveniently located near the bustling Hang Bong and Hang Dao Street, famous with myriad of shopping and entertainment complexes, in close proximity to the largest night market.
