Blue and the staff are extremely warm and accommodating.. they helped us book our tours to Halong Bay and Sapa which were fabulous and amazing value for money!! The hostel is clean and in a fabulous location....

Spent 2 nights in Hanoi blues hostel in a private double room with shared bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location. Nice bar and restaurant down stairs. Free breakfast is small and basic, one egg, two pieces of bred and a banana. The room was tiny and had only a bed and one small stool. Still it was very clean...

A very basic hostel that's not very comfortable and extremely loud at night, however it's in a great location and during their $1 promotion I'm willing to put up with a lot of noise to be honest. Probably not worth it at regular price, though.

I have always been a little bit worried about staying in a hostel and this was the first one I have ever stayed in, after being recommended by a friend. Blue, his wife Lan and their family (including their adorable children) are the nicest people I have ever met, they are so welcoming and helpful and their hospitality was amazing....

When I was there, showers would often stop working and would not work again for a while. Kids running around the dorm room, they were cute and I enjoyed playing with them but unexpected for a hostel...

We came to this hostel through a recommendation of a friend. The location is amazing, so close to everything. The staff are really friendly and the bar is one of the best parties in Hanoi! The prices in the bar and for accommodation are really good. We stayed in a private room with AC and all.

Booked a 2 night stay here in October. Cost £10pn for a double room with shared bathroom. Room was basic but what do you expect, you can't moan for the price! Bathroom was just outside our room, shower is in the same room as the toilet but you'll find that a lot with hostels in Asia. Shower was pretty powerful...

Blue was so helpful during my stay. My travel was delayed by 24 hours due to issues with the airline and he was still happy to work around my time table. I had to visit the hospital during my stay in Hanoi and he ordered me taxi's and helped me get back from the hospital when I was lost and...
