The hotel room is very clean. The room rate is very cheap. The hotel owner is extremely friendly and enthusiastic. actually we had a great night at the hotel. We will go back to the hotel when we visit Hanoi. many thanks!
We stayed at the hotel. The hotel is clean, in the center of convenient travel. the owner is very kind and friendly. we will go back to the hotel when coming back to Hanoi. Thanks very much............ !
Nothing to complain about with Rising Dragon Legend - the location in the Old Quarter is great (though I don't love the nightlife in the old quarter, it's a bit rowdy). We actually stayed twice during our trip to Vietnam and it was one of our favorite hotels. The rooms were very clean, and more than adequately spacious considering the price point. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and their English was some of the best we encountered. The only drawback is their strong desire to arrange tours and transports - they were very interested in selling us travel packages. They went as far as to try to paint the train as an inconvenient mode of transport, saying that the limo bus offers door-to-door service while the train requires us to take a taxi on either end. Taxis to the train station are about 60,000 VND, and the train to Ninh Binh was 77,000 VND per person, compared to the limo bus's 400,000 (and limited schedule - we wanted to arrive to Ninh Binh as early as possible and the limo couldn't get us there before noon - by train we arrived at 8:15am).…
Stayed for 4 nights with an overnight trip to Halong Bay. What makes this hotel is the staff. Bella is the hotel manager and goes above and beyond her duties to help you. She booked our Halong Bay cruise and checked in with us on our journey. We got stuck one day and we rang and she organised a taxi for us, tracking our journey until we arrived safely. A special mention to Duc who serves you brekky and makes exceptional pancakes- so friendly. We will return to this hotel in future.
We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights. The room which had a double bed was not so big but it was adequate for our needs. The breakfast they served every morning was a delicious preview of Vietnamese food - the crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside baguette, beef pho and rice noodles in vinegar/fish sauce. They also served western items such as omelette, pancakes and french toast. The staff and the waiter were very helpful. The location was perfect. After a whole day of touring, we were able to still go around the area to eat dinner and shop. The clothing store right beside the hotel had the best prices for its jackets and coats. We even had a foot and back massage at a nearby spa.
Small room, but covered all our needs. We had two rooms and stayed for two nights. Breakfast was very good and the kitchen chef did his outmost to satisfy all our wishes and needs. The reception staff was also very helpful. Rooms were clean and tidy.
Centrally located in Old Quarter near the Lake.Market and Water Puppet Theatre. Clean rooms modern baths hot water quiet even though busy street but the real treasure is the staff .Especially Bella who greeted us and treated us like family. Handled every need booked taxis.printed boarding passes.changed money.packed lunches.booked tours.handled laundry Highly recommend. Not fancy but excellent value and delicious free breakfast
I booked this hotel mainly due to the location, seemingly good reviews and affordability. Must say, I was more than impressed on all 3 counts. Located perfectly, this small little hotel is a gem. Don't expect 5 star facilities and you will surely get a clean bed and bathroom, a location in the heart of old quarter and a wonderful team of courteous and warm Vietnamese people working there. I really want to write this review purely for the team at the front desk and restaurant who were forever smiling and seemed happy to do their jobs despite tough work conditions. Special mention for Bella, Ly, May, Hanh, Duc and Hike. Id happily come back to this hotel only for the staff. Highly recommended.
We stayed here for 4 weeks and this hotel was absolutely fantastic. Bella who is the hotel manager is very helpful and nothing is too much trouble for her to sort or her excellent staff. Duc the breakfast waiter is superb, really friendly and ensures you have everything you need to start your day. Breakfast is very nice, continental style with a good choice from the hot menu. Omelette were lovely. The home-made yogurts were very delicious, especially with passion fruit. The rooms are very spacious and clean. Your room is cleaned every day with clean towels and bedding. Bed was very comfortable and the rooms were very quiet with exceptional good WiFi, which was very important as we both work online. The hotel is a 5-minute walk to the lake, bars and local / tourist restaurants. Black Jacks bar/restaurant which is next to the hotel is very good. Good food, reasonable prices and excellent staff (would recommend this) best beef fajitas in Hanoi. It was my husband's birthday during our stay and he had a lovely bouquet of roses and a lovely birthday cake in the room when we returned from our daily walk. A lovely gesture which we didn't expect. Overall, our stay here was fantastic and would stay again when we visit Hanoi for a short break. Once again a BIG thank you to Bella and all her staff. Dave & Jacqui…
My stay here was great, the room was good the location was brilliant and the staff are so kind and helpful there. Especially the lovely young ladies on reception, who went out of their way to rectify a problem that came up at the very last minute with my booking in Ho Chi Min City. The only issue (not really a problem) if you like to stay out late the lights will be off and door locked when you arrive back to the hotel. However all you have to do is knock and they let you straight in. At first it was confusing but really not a problem at all.
