The room we stayed in was clean, spacious, and the beds were like marshmallows. The room was always at a cool temperature to take a break from the heat. Breakfast time was also delicious; they had waffles with eggs, bacon and your choice of beverages. Internet was great, as well as TV entertainment. The best part was the staff! Both receptionists were so kind and helpful by providing additional towels and cutlery. At night when we were at the pool, the security guard made us feel safe bc he went around checking the premise. He even came in to lend us an inflatable flamingo. They made us feel right at home with their amiable charisma. Their kindness was very much appropriated. I will definitely be making reservations in the future! Overall, I highly recommend this place, it’s definitely a hidden gem.

This hotel is very clean and located right on the edge of the old quarter. The rooms are a bit dated, but the service is the best I have ever been exposed to! Every single thing is done the minute you ask and the women at the desk, especially Ms Hang, know everything about Hanoï and will help with anything from transfer, to money, to restaurants to advice on where to buy anything. Everyone is fun and friendly. You can book this with Airmiles points and a really big breakfast buffet is included.

This mid budget hotel is centrally placed if you want to walk the 36 streets and other central attractions. On a busy thoroughfare, the traffic can be noisy at times. The staff are extremely helpful and good English is spoken by Mrs Hang and the team.It is a good location for a short stay in Hanoi

Arrived here with my mates. The receptionists were very helpful ordering me the cyclo or taxi. Mrs Honng the receptionist will search up anything you need and will tell you how much you should be paying for things. The room is spacious, clean and the beds are so comfy. The breakfast and pool are an added bonus. Great value for money, highly recommend it if you want to stay close to town but away from the loudness at night.

I’m very surprised this hotel has such a high rating. It was quite a disappointment and does not look like anything in the pictures. The maintenance of this hotel is extremely poor. The bathrooms had mould and cracks on the wall. We were a family of 4 and had two rooms and one of the bathrooms had a jacuzzi tub to shower in which was extremely inconvenient. Overall, did not enjoy the stay at this hotel.

Our family of mum, dad and two kids (4 and 14), stayed at the Skylark Hotel for a total of four nights with a two day break in the middle where we made a side trip to Halong Bay.
The hotel is situated on the outskirts of the Old Quarter and is handy to lots of places within walking distance. It is clean, tidy and had everything we need. The breakfast which was included was great and the rooms spacious. The WiFi can be intermittent although solid in the lobby and restaurant.
The staff were excellent and went out of their way to help us. When we returned from Halong Bay they had upgraded us to the apartment which was excellent. The staff in the restaurant, in the lobby and on reception especially, Van, Thanh and Hang were awesome.
Definitely recommend this hotel.

The staff were friendly and most informative espcially Hang, Van, Duc, Oanh, Sinh. They were invaluable in teaching us to use the ride sharing Grab which is essential for older visitors.
Mr Long gave us a wonderful tour of the city. We appreciated his flexibility.

As a solo female traveler I can tell you the one thing that matters when picking your lodgings are the people/staff. And wow oh wow these are the best. They are professional, kind, energetic, and always available to help. I mean… they even helped me solve problems that were absolutely not their responsibility. Any worries I had they were able to help me. It was such a relief having this as my home base in Hanoi.
But if you care about more than just the amazing staff, then the air conditioning is always cool, the Wi-Fi is strong, and the bathrooms are spacious. My bed was clean, I prefer a really soft mattress but didn’t have any trouble in this bed. They have breakfast in the morning that has a variety of options for whatever you need.
Would recommend and would book again if back in the area.

The Skylark Hotel was very nice, the room was as expected and the buffet in the morning was good with the availability of freshly cooked omelets.
What stood out most for my girlfriend and I was the exceptional service that Mrs Thuy Hang provided for us. Hang went out of her way to organise tours for us, even messaging us during her day off to make sure everything was organised as expected, even for dates that we wouldn't be in Hanoi for.
Thank you so much, we really enjoyed our stay.

the staff are extremely kind and helpful, treat you like royalty! the rooms are big and spacious with comfortable beds, it is a little noisy however we found most city hotels in vietnam are due to busy streets. we even got a free room upgrade on arrival. breakfast was a good buffet selection and the hotel organised for us really affordable taxi service to the hotel. will be visiting again :)

Cost for private transfer from Hanoi airport to skylark was $20 US. And was a clean , efficient service, fully recommended, we used a company Called Hanoi transfer services and booked online quite easy. Hope this helps
Bar soap, shampoo and conditioner are supplied. Take your own body lotion, no hotels in Vietnam we stayed in provided it.
TA has lots of good advice in its FAQ section under Hanoi.
Basically, you could contact the Skylark hotel and ask if they have a pick up service; or catch a taxi which is 45-60 minutes and anything from US$15-US$20; or book through one of the many transport service companies listed through TA.
We were collected by the Tour Company that organized our Vietnam journey, and as such, was included in our overall costs.
Check out TA and then go to Vietnam, then Hanoi, and check out the FAQ's, I'm sure you will be fine, I guess it is your first time into VN, as it is all quite civilized. Happy travels.
