A nice old palatial building from 1926. That is all of the good things about this hotel. I like the entrance and the idea of being in a 90 year old hotel. Feels like your bed is in the middle of a highway ...lollll Centrally located but without any noise isolation. Incredibly loud guests, mainly from China and Vietnam. They...

I wanted to stay at a hotel with colonial style architecture in Hanoi, and this hotel had lots of charm. The staff were very good and the location was good with comfortable walking distance to the lake and a short cab ride to the Old Quarter. There was a good breakfast buffet with a lot of choices. It was very...

Nice, spacious, quiet, and decent are some of the adjectives that i can use for this hotel. It is at a comfortable walking distance to the famous lake where weekends are a must visit. Hanoi is by far one of the cheapest cities in the world and there is no compromise in the quality of what you get for that...

The staff was friendly and professional when they were processing my hotel check-in. They spoke fair good English and helpful when I asked for direction to the market and the 36 streets. The hotel is located opposite a small local market thus I need not venture too far to have a feel of the local colors. Since it was located...

Pretty French architecture with unique colonial style; however the room and equipment are really old. Need a major renovation for the rooms and a makeover for the furniture. Enjoyed the breakfast buffet with variety of chicken noodle soups.

As soon as I stepped inside, I love it. The ambience. The room. Colonial architecture. They serve fruits everyday. It is an old hotel, built since 1926 but it is clean and well maintained. However, in the event of a event downstairs, the karaoke session can be heard from the 2nd floor but it is only till 10pm. Also, it...

Very nice hotel. A bit old-fashioned style, but in very good condution. Location is ok - very close to the Hoan Kiem lake and market streets. My room was big enough containing 2 armhairs and a little coffee-table, chair, a desk, dressing table with a mirror, big wardrobe, electric kettle, TV and huge bed. Bed was hard (but I like...

Located near the lake Hoan Kiem in Ha Noi. The building was constructed in early 1900s and recently renovated. It has high ceiling at each floor and a spiral staircase at the center. Breakfast includes Vietnamese (and Asian, this is ver nice!) and continental styles. Jogging to the lake Hoan Kiem is good in the morning. It is a bit...

Hotel was at a really great location. Walking distance to all the main areas. Room was clean overall. But the inner blanket was full of gross stains. We try to overlook it as we had the blanket cover. Breakfast was not acceptable. The pho was overloaded with msg, cereal wasn't fresh, coffee was lukewarm. They managed to get the boiled...

The hoa Bin is not ideally located if you want to do street shopping or eat street food but it is much quieter at night than hotels in the old quarter.
