Really great hostel, run by a hugely friendly staff, who speak excellent English. Location is great, down a quietish, characterful alley in the old quarter, near the Lake. We came back from Sapa trip today which We book through ''ManhDUng GuestHouse''. I am spanish, and I stayed in ManhDung Guesthouse.It is nice place.The staff here are friendly and helpful. They help Us to make chinese visa very quick. The room are cosy and comfortable. I´m sure that I´ll repeat the next time in Hanoi

WOULD NOT GIVE US BACK OUR PASSPORTS WHEN WE TRIED TO MOVE TO A DIFFERENT HOTEL. Just the worst people we have met on our year long travels. The Rooms are small and not too clean and the tours and visa services are way overpriced. Dont stay here! Don't do it. I know you're thinking about it, but don't do it. Just don't. Its a wonderful guesthouse: rooms are clean and quiet.
