It’s been a while since I revisit HANOI and I am so glad to come back to this hotel. Retaining its old charm Room was definitely comfortable Even though the furniture, upholstery are quite dated however there is a homely feel when you are inside the room. Service from the team was lovely from the concierge to the club lounge and breakfast restaurant. The team truly wants to deliver their best to you and they go all the way out to ensure it beyond our expectations. Well done Hilton opera!
Aging property reflecting age in every aspect, returning back after a few years. I was gracefully offered the executive floor. Thanks . Two items for improvement 1. Needs to provide Vegetarian/ Vegan choices in Inroom dining 2. Gym has old and not good quality equipment, not an inviting place unfortunately
This hotel is in an ideal location next to the opera house. The hotel is close to many cafes and restaurants. Unfortunately, the hotel is very dated and tired looking. The entire hotel desperately needs a total renovation. The staff was very friendly and professional. The gym was just so-so.
Hotel could do with some updating. Whilst foyer has that old world charm - the rooms are dated. Executive Lounge looked tired and needs a refreshen of furniture. Pool area disappointed with - no one on shift put out bedding / towels so we had to ask reception. Other days it was same - it is like that area is not looked after by anyone. Overall it was an OK stay. Position was great !!
Had a great visit and stay in Hanoi. Fantastic location and great staff! Will be back. Checking was fast and professional and the lounge clean, good selection of drinks and food. Unfortunately only 2 nights but the location makes the big difference from others. Safe to walk to the lake close by and enjoy a durian icecream or a snack and beverage from a street vendor
The hotel staff is exceptional. Plenty of options for breakfast. Hilton Diamond Members will be happy with the status recognition. Wifi is fast, Excellent location. The hotel is quite dated and has been for at least a few decades. If you are expecting it to look any newer than the mid-1990s, you'll be disappointed with its lack of updating. It's quite clean, but the luxury hotels 5 minutes away show you the potential of what this hotel could and should be. I recommend the property, but I cannot stress enough that it is a time capsule and needs significant renovation.
Old Hotel but clean and well equipped. Room is spacious and all power points are international pin friendly. Executive Lounge is very friendly and evening snacks is almost a full meal. Buffet Breakfast at the Main Restaurant is also decent. If you are one to explore all the Old Square, Train Street and High End Shopping, this property is the place to stay. Reasonable pricing too.
We always love to stay in the Hilton Opera where we feel like a second home. We were well welcomed by the hotel especially the executive lounge team. We will look forward to our next family stay and hope the hotel can think of building renovation where we see it is the only negative point so far
We enjoyed our stay. The location is great; the hop on hop off bus is just around the corner and the tours would pick us up at hotel. The lobby has been updated and there is a bar and bakery. Only the Ba Mien restaurant is currently open. The executive lounge is open from 6-8 with free drinks and a small but adequate buffet and comfortable chairs. However the rooms and hallways have a slight musty smell; an air purifier in our room helped with the smell. The beds were comfortable. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. If the hotel can update at least the carpet and get rid of the musty smell I’d give it 5 stars.
Location - right next to the Hanoi opera house, very centrally located . Some of the streets nearby very pedestrian unfriendly ( but I think that’s common everywhere in big Vietnamese cities…) Style / theme of hotel - overall very nice and elegant, but a little dated . The furnishings in the rooms are a little old, and the gym seems a little old Rooms - as a diamond member, I was upgraded to a suite on the third floor. The suite was huge, comfortable and clean - we really appreciated the extra space . Everything in the room worked great - from the showers to the free wifi. Breakfast- excellent. Lots of choices , food with good quality . I especially loved all the fresh fruits… The executive lounge - large and comfortable- and very quiet The staff - excellent - all very helpful and polite . But one staff member stood out . Son was the best hotel employee I have ever dealt with . I first interacted with him when I wrote the hotel , asking for recommendations for Halong Bay cruises. From answering emails quickly to booking our Halong Bay cruise , from checking us in quickly to ordering a taxi for us at our departure from the hotel , he was excellent at everything he did for us. He was friendly , professional and always helpful . I really appreciated him answering my questions quickly via what’s app once I arrived in Hanoi. I also appreciated how he was very transparent with pricing when he was helping us book us cruise / taxi , and he was very good at offering us things at great value - unlike some hotel staff in other countries who try to “up sell” things to guests . His warm hospitality definitely helped to make our stay at Hanoi Hilton most enjoyable. I would recommend Hilton hanoi with no hesitation! A great great stay here .…
