Pearl and her husband extend such warmth and hospitality it is hard not to enjoy one's stay in Hanoi almost immediately. They shared with me valuable tips on choosing tours in Halong Bay, and provided resources on travel in Hanoi, with a cup of jasmine tea at hand! Dorms are clean, though the toilets are on the smaller side. Warm...

I'm not surprised that there are so many great reviews about this place. The owners are more than helpful with arranging taxis and tours. The beds are a great standard. The breakfast is included in your stay. Good location in Hanoi. They even let us leave our larger bags with them whilst we went on a 2 day trip to...

I would say the dorms are reasonably clean. The location is quite accessible but google map had it on the wrong direction, I wonder why. The main reason why this backpacker hostel gets fully-booked all the time? Their wonderful, friendly and accommodating staff, who would always make a special effort to assist you in all your needs.

I paid a little extra with the backpackers for an airport pickup and to be taken straight to the backpackers. It was worth it and SO nice to arrive there only to meet Pearl (the owner) and her huge, warm smile and willingness to help out in any way she can! The beds were comfortable, the price was good, free...

Dorm room was super small, no space for anything and not clean at all. The bathroom in the first floor dorm was disgusting, super small and dirty. The only good thing was the staff. You can have much better options for the se price.

She booked my bus tickets, she suggested me places to eat and she checked the weather at the different places i wanted to go to make sure i had the best...

Together with a friend I stayed in Friendly Backpackers Hostel in October. And 'friendly it was'. Pearl, the owner, and her husband are great people. Very friendly, with a smile, helpful and honest. Due to them, my stay in Hanoi got better than it already was. Staying in Friendly Backpackers hostel is good value for money. (Very) low prices, located...

Little hostel close to the heart of Hanoi, easy to walk around to discover the city. The owner helped us a lot with buses and many other things. If you are staying few days it's nice and cheap. This is a really friendly place.

1. Clean and very comfortable dorm bed. 2. Price is very cheap with breakfast and free wifi. 3. Location is good and safe with eateries and shops around. 4. The young lady owner Ms. Pearl is always helpful and friendly. She even personally prepared delicious Vietnam specialty spring rolls and salads for a group of ten of us. She also...

Pearl, the girl who runs the joint, is such a nice person and will help you with any queries you have. Great location, just off the main road so not too noisy. Has air con and comfortable beds so don't worry about that. It's not a party hostel so it doesn't have a bar but that's not really an issue...
