A Gecko restaurant at the hotel - food etc is gone.Quiet rooms at the back. Hard bed. In the Old City and near the Lake. Breakfasts ok - choice of eggs- cooked to order. Plus Vietnamese range of items and soft bread, toast, fruit and jam. Fruit juice and excellent coffee.

We chose this hotel because it was cheap and the bar/restaurant looked OK. We originally booked a 3 night stay here but checked out after 2 nights because We thought that somebody tried to break into the safe and steal our money and possessions...this may not have been the case but it appeared that way....our room was left unlocked after...

During 28 Feb – 03 Mar I had a chance to stay there and it was very convenient with 24 hrs. mart across the road and many attractive things around area in walking distance. Room is fine and neat. Special thanks to Mr. Ting Tong and his team in accommodation my stay as I was extending day by day and...

This hotel has a great location. It is possible to visit several places on foot, as well as being close to the street of the night bars. I slept two nights at the hotel. The first room in the room with a balcony facing the street was quite noisy. The room smelled musty and cigarette. The second night was in...

Room 605. Very disappointing that the water in the shower never got hot. You have to turn the water heater on in advance. They say ten minutes. We had it on for a couple hours and no hot water. When we called down they said "oh it's cold weather try 20 min." What a joke. Other than that the place...

Location is good but better find another place, this is not worth it. dirty, poorly maintained, towels with big holes, bathtub that cannot drain the last 3-4 cm (height) of water, poor internet, rude hotel manager (we talked to him to arrange an extra charge). The photos have little in common with how the place actually is.

Had six nights here and for the money I paid it's brilliant. Very clean, really good staff and the booking agent sorted loads of my onward flights, hotels and trains out at a very good price. All in all I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone who's looking for value and comfort. Ps foods good too!

Hotel in great location close to Hoan Kim Lake and shopping/restaurants. Easy walk to sites of interest ie Hilton Prison, War Museum, St Joseph's Cathedral etc. Served a decent breakfast albeit it limited but with eggs to order. Staff friendly and helpful. Room a bit dated but adequate and was clean. Excellent position. Would stay here again.

Hanoi Amanda Hotel is conveniently located at the heart of the Old Quarter. Free wifi is available at the whole hotel and the staff are friendly. Foreign exchange is also available at the lobby. Overall stay is very good (for what it's worth), except for the rats running in ceiling which could be a little disturbing when you sleep.

We enjoyed our time at Amanda hotel in busy little Hanoi with my wife and two children. Mr Toms was awesome arranging our tours from there. Close to massage , markets and everything. Food was great in the hotel. Price was good for what we got. We would go there again.
