I was really disappointed in the lack of organization & seemingly overpriced tours offered by alibaba. I didn't stay in the hotel (I stayed next door at Classic Street), but I utilized their travel resources for Halong Bay & Sapa. Several times I was left waiting for 1hr of more & had to call the agency to have them locate...

We did not stay at the hotel but we did 2 tours with them and they were very good. The first was to Sapa, 2 days and one night in a homestay. It was misty out but we enjoyed the trek and our stay with our host Mao. The only issue was that we arrived back to Hanoi at 3:30am...

Not recommend this hotel. I just came and took a look at their 2 rooms. The hotel is really old and has bad maintaining. Especially the restroom wasn't clean at all and had bad smell. Should check before you check-in.

We stopped at this shop because we saw among services laundry service. We paid for wash and iron 50k a kilo. But as we came back at our hotel and unpacked the bag, it hasn't been ironed. Check your laundry before you leave!

... otherwise you're likely to get the plague. We were another group that checked in, looked at the room and then promptly checked out. The bed consisted of one thin foam mattress on top of a soiled spring mattress. We were on the top floor. The windows did not close and there was a large open water tank outside one...

The hotel itself is in a great location right in the midst of the old city, not to mention one of the cheapest around. We stayed in a fan room at first but it was so hot we had to take showers in the middle of the night to cool down. Upgrade to an air con room and all your...

This is one to miss. The room was a tiny unbarably hot box with no window, shared bathroom down the hall hadn't been cleaned and the guy on reception didn't care at all. Its cheap and we had only one night there but I wouldn't bother!

The room I had looked like walking into a derelict house. Badly lit, grimy, no window but a two door effort (which didn't close properly) which opened onto a tiny scruffy balcony, "bathroom" not enough room to swing a cat (cleanish, but rundown) ... TV didn't work properly, air-con knackered, people could look into the room, etc. Saw one room...

I travel to Hanoi and had booked one room at Alibaba Hotel. A simple hotel, but very convenient and comfortable. The hotel is easily accessible from the famous attractions of Hanoi, such as: Hoan Kiem Lake, the night market, and some famous eating places in the Hanoi Old Quarter Hotel rooms are clean, staff are friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately in this case you get what you pay for! Location was the best thing about this hotel as the rest of it is really ran down one of our least favourite places we have stayed in SE Asia! Staff were pleasant enough and helped us arrange a fantastic and reasonably priced trip to Halong bay! Hotel needs a lot...
