We stayed at Indochina Gold overall for 5 nights. We had multiple trips outside Hanoi and each time we came back a room was ready even before it was checkin time. They held our luggage without a problem. We found the staff exceptionally helpful and very friendly, they became like family. We had arranged our own tours before arriving in...

The hotel is situated at a very nice and quite alley close to hoam kiem lake (4 minutes walk) and the market streets (5-8 minutes walk) and about 15 minutes walk to Literature Temple and 20 minutes to One Pillar Pagoda. The hotel manager (Thom) greeted as and upon asking he made us an offer about a 2-day tour to...

Contrary to other recent reviews we enjoyed our stay at Indochina Gold. We found the staff very helpful and friendly. On arrival we were greeted by Mr Thom who provided us with a drink and asked us about our stay in Hanoi including whether we needed to book any tours. When we explained we did not require any tours we...

This hotel was acceptable, but nowhere near the 4.5 rating it appears to have (as of 24 August 2011). Of the 20 reviews posted in April and May, 18 appear unrealistic to me (and I have flagged them to Trip Advisor). Read the reviews posted since 27 July for more balanced reviews of the hotel. This review is specifically for...

This hotel was not what I expected or paid for. We got the airport transfer this went well and was all good. Arrived to a very friendly reception nice cold drink and then as mentioned by another reviewer below we were given the hard sell by Tom (Thom) before we were allowed in our room. After only two hours sleep...

We stayed here on and off for 6 nights between trips to Sapa and Halong Bay. We took the $18 airport pick up which was totally stress free. The driver was waiting with a sign and dropped us to the hotel. The hotel pay him and then you pay the hotel so no rip offs. The staff were mostly friendly...

So the hotel is in a good location, the room is absolutely huge and beautifully decorated i must say. I even joined their Halong Bay tour which was slightly pricey but enjoyable none the less. The main problem i had was with RATS. I stayed on level 2, facing out to the streets and on my first night, i heard...
