Had a brilliant stay at Hotel Anatole Hanoi in the French Quarters . The room was very comfortable ( old world chic) . Breakfast had a wide variety of local and western style options . The fresh fruit selection was exceptional. As for the staff they were over and beyond helpful. Nothing was too much and every request was met with the widest of smiles. A few people in particular deserve special mention- Nam, Miah, Bob, Leo, Nguyen and Ngoc. They stored our luggage overnight when we went on a cruise to Halong Bay. We were offered welcome drinks and an offer of shower facilities even though we were there only to pick up luggage on the way to the airport. We look forward to staying here again.
This was booked through Asiahighlights.com the hotel is in the old city central to shopping and eat aways. The hotel is very neat and staff are very friendly. They do speak english, and always eager to help. I am very greatful to the staff and would like to mention their names- Nam, Miah,Bob,Leo,Nguyen and Ngoc. The breakfast is superb and we throughly enjoyed our stay.
This is a new hotel, or at least it looks completely new, we've booked the grand executive room which was on par with a good western 5 * hotel, everything looks good, I had a laundry request which was off hours and had needed it very quickly, they could have just say no and it was ok, but the hotel lobby desk representitive, Nguyen, went out of his way and did the laundry for me even though it was not his job and I think he should have left home, because of him I have fresh clothes for the rest of my long RTW journey. They charged me half the price too. Highly-highly recommended staff and the lobby and rooms were excellent as well.
Only two years old but delivering some of the finest hospitality I’ve ever experienced, the Anatole is sure to remain busy for a very long time. I’ve stayed in three different rooms here on separate trips and they’ve all been beautiful – the marble bathrooms in particular are a welcome luxury! This place still feels like a well-kept secret, however, because of the service. I will stay here again and again as I have never been made to feel so welcome by any staff at any hotel, bar, or restaurant, ever. It has been a true delight to be greeted by so many friendly smiles every time I walk through the lobby. Minh and Leo, among others, were kind enough to remember me and ensure that I was never anything but comfortable. Whether I needed laundry done within a few hours, somewhere to work after checking out, or if I wanted to keep some bags in storage for short trips out of the city, the staff made sure I had no problem here. As I was travelling alone, Minh in particular was kind enough to ensure that I had a friend, inviting me for a beautiful Hanoian breakfast and egg coffee. I did not expect, nor could I be more grateful for this experience. It is always the small things that make the difference, and whether it was Lam opening the front door with a friendly smile every time or the handwritten note that accompanied a gift bag and some fresh fruit on my last day here, I have already decided that I will only stay at this hotel when I’m in Hanoi again, that is if they are not fully booked, which I would understand entirely.…
We booked the suite at Anatole Hotel. The staff were friendly and nice. They also sent an email before our stay to inform us about the estimated taxi fare from the airport. The breakfast was buffet style with Western and Vietnamese food. The location is good. The lake, temple, cathedral and night market are within walking distance.
Every staff member was helpful and kind and the rooms were very comfortable. The cathedral, the lake and the main pedestrian zone are all at walking distance, so that’s very convenient. Staff also helped with making reservations etc, so that was great.
We stayed a total of 10 nights at Anatole Hotel after trying two other hotels in Hanoi and the Anatole was by far the best. It’s on the same street as the cathedral and a short walk to the lake. The hotel itself is quite new and the rooms reflected this with the showers having fantastic water pressure and both rainforest shower-head and a detachable head. The breakfast was impressive and the wifi connection was decent. Front desk staff were all pleasant (thanks Minh!) and helpful and a special shout-out must be made for Amy who worked tirelessly and was always ready to answer any queries we had and steer us in the right direction. Amy is the kind of manager every hotel wants working for them and she is destined for great things.
We booked this based on reviews and are so glad we did! It is not a big US style hotel chain which is what we prefer, so if you're also looking to escape that type of hotel, this is a great place to be! We stayed here on 3 separate occasions between trips to central Vietnam, Sa pa and Ha Long. Each time we were there, the staff was kind, helpful and really went out of their way to help us. They called some of our tour operators to confirm arrangements, they booked us a table at a restaurant, they ensured we had a taxi when needed.... All in addition to helping us with our bags etc. Mai Anh and Leo at the front desk were particularly helpful and allowed us both an early check-in and late check-out when we needed it. Luckily for us non-Vietnamese speakers, all the front desk staff could communicate in English. The rooms are immaculately clean; the beds comfortable and there are chairs available for 2 people to sit on. That may sound weird but in so many hotels, there is only 1 chair to sit on so someone has to sit on the bed. Not here. We had the basic room on our first night which had a window but we were only there 1 night and gone in the morning. The other nights we were there, we had a French balcony and a bit more space. The location is in the old part of the city - French Quarter - and you can easily walk to the cathedral (around the corner), Hoan Kiem lake (2-5 min), bakeries, shops etc. We did a full day walking tour to Hao Lo prison (20 min walk), Ho Chi Minh mausoleum, presidential palace, Ngoc Son Temple, Bach Ma Temple etc. These were spaced out but we were able to do this because Anatole is so well positioned in the city. It is also quiet even though it is in the heart of Hanoi. It's down a side street and you don't hear the scooters/bikes and traffic. We slept really well each night we were there. There is shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, lotion as well as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shaving kit and hairdryer. I would highly recommend this gem of a hotel to anyone visiting Hanoi. Especially given the room rates!…
Upon arrival at the hotel we were greeted warmly by a member of staff, who helped with our luggage and checked us in smoothly, the lobby looks very grand. As we were celebrating our honeymoon, our room was filled with balloons and a message of congratulations. We stayed in the Grand Deluxe room and we couldn't have been more happy. The room was just the right size we wanted, the bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in and the pillows were huge, there was also a big TV on the wall. There was lovely hot water and the shower had a choice of a rain shower or a hand held shower, it was also very quiet, also no problems with the WiFi. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel as we chose to eat out instead. The location of the hotel was perfect for us, turn right and it's a mere 5 minute walk to the Hoan Kiem lake. Turn left and a quick 2 minute walk is the grand catholic church which is surrounded by coffee shops, restaurants and cafes. I would highly recommend staying at the Anatole Hanoi hotel, we will be staying here again upon our next visit to Hanoi…
The staffs were always friendly and welcoming us. Room was clean with nice shower with magical mirror inside. Breakfast at the base was good, they served buffet. Totally it was a great stay, great hotel.
