Had such a wonderful experience at the Soleil Boutique Hotel. When we arrived, there was an error with our room to no fault of the horel, but the manager was quick to contact us and rectify the issue. We were warmly welcomed every morning by the staff. Buffet breakfast had a great selection of fresh foods. Room was extremely comfortable, noisy traffic but as to be expected with the location which was also excellent - easy walk to good food spots and all the main sites of Hanoi. Plus our tours picked us up no worries from the hotel reception. Spa downstairs was lovely. We also used the rooftop pool everyday which most of the time, we had to ourselves. Unfortunately, there was no room service at the time, however, I believe they only have a small team as we saw the same people most days and they were alwaya working hard, we wondered if covid affected there staffing and therefore, available services. Despite this, eeryone was just genuinely lovely and really did put the customer first. You guys do a wonderful job!…
Been around a fee airbnb and hotels these past few weeks in Asia and soleil is the only one worth mentioning. Service and rooms were top notch. Smiles on everyone's faces, service ready at every corner from door opening to luggage drop off. Rooms were clean and modern, bed were big and comfy. It is also well located, around many small local shops and boutiques, 10 min walk to the night market. Grab taxis everywhere. Honestly I highly recommend if you plan your vacation nearby :)
We stayed here at the end of August, and had a fantastic experience. In addition to the room (very comfortable bed and pillows), the pool is great- Tom mixed up the most delicious passion fruit Mojitos, and he also has great suggestions for dining and outings. But the professional, pleasant and kind Customer Service Manager “Sandy” really worked some magic for us- going above and beyond to help us arrange ground transportation to our next stop (and she even followed up me me after we left to see if I was recovering from my travel sickness). Special thanks also to Chloe at the front desk- really an all around wonderful hotel, walkable to everything, including a very short walk to “Train Street.” We will stay here again in September before we fly home.
I received a notification from the hotel in the middle of the night that they were not able to honour my bookingfor the next day. I think they might be overbooked and they decided to bump off the booking with the cheapest rate (I thought I got a great deal) Instead of finding a solution like arranging for alternative hotel and also informing Agoda that they had cancelled my reservation, they tried to trick me into cancelling my booking via Agoda Apps myself so that I would be penalized as the free cancellation period was over. I refused and emailed to them that they should be informing Agoda that they are the one who could not honour the booking. They did not respond but apparently they informed Agoda that I had cancelled the booking!!! Agoda then emailed me that I had to pay for all the 3 days due to the hotel cancellation policy. I disputed and showed Agoda the correspondences for them to waive these illegally cancellation charges. Not honoring bookings is already bad enough given the inconvenience and trouble caused but trying to trick people into cancelling on their own so that they can get the money as well is really another level of dishonesty. TA should have a rating of minus 5 stars for any establishment which tries to scam customers. Book this hotel at your own risk.…
Really good hotel in the heart of Hanoi, very closed to to all city attractions. The hotel has good rooms, spotless clean, good breakfast with local dishes, fruit and warm western food (omelette, bacon, etc) . Good rooftop pool. The staff is very attentive and helpful, Sandy at the reception was specially good.
Lovely little place with only 9 rooms. Staff were super helpful and any language problems were soon resolved. Breakfast was provided and the Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk was a real winner. The star of the show was it's location as it was just around the corner from the royal palace. Only downside was the noise that came up the central staircase. Great value for money!
After a bad experience in Hanoi with a hotel that was the same price and awful we were absolutely delighted with Soleil Hotel. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, the staff amazing. The sheets and pillows were the best we’ve come across in Vietnam. After check in they let us just chill by the pool with the most amazing iced coffee.

We stayed for a night in July when my daughter turned 18 . Sandy was absolutely brilliant at helping to organise a surprise for my daughter ; Balloons , banners and a cake … it was just perfect in making her day more special . The hotel was wonderful and had the comfiest beds and best pillows of our whole travels around Vietnam ! Mojitos at the roof top pool where the perfect end to our trip ! Thanks 🙏
Comfortable hotel with very nice staff. They helped us organize our trips to nin binh and halong bay. Everything worked perfectly. The pool on the rooftop got a nice view over the city. The location was also very nice, close to the railway station and all other activities
