We stayed 4 nights at the Keypad Hotel 24 Hang Ga (formerly Rising Dragon Hotel) in the deluxe double room (with a bath). The room was at the back of the hotel with no outlook (except into a lightwell) and so was very quiet. There was no noise from other rooms either. The bed was very comfortable, with a soft mattress. Everything was very clean and the room was serviced daily. The bath took a while to fill as the hot water supply needed to re-heat, but it was worth the wait to enjoy this rare (in Vietnam) luxury. The location is really great for exploring the historic centre, which is what we did for 3 days. The location is close to some of the (relatively) more authentic streets, which we really enjoyed exploring, finding a “favourite” coffee house (Blackbirds), and just generally hanging out. It’s also walking distance to all the tourist main attractions. What really takes this hotel from very good to great, as always, is the service. We looked forward to coming through the door to a cheerful “welcome back” and heading off to the sound of “enjoy your day”. The staff’s cheerfulness, whether talking to guests or among themselves, is wonderfully infectious. The included breakfast was really good (and would be well worth paying the $5 for if it isn’t included in your rate) and the equally cheerful chef was happy to whip up an alternative vegan option for us. Most staff spoke excellent English and all were very helpful with our requests and, in particular, the laundry service was cheap, efficient and good quality.

Nothing special to expect from the hotel itself; even a bit boring. There is hotspot streets for tourists : Train Street, Beer Street, Theatre, Lakes, Ho Chi Minh Garded Tomb. & Museum, River (not much suitable for touring around), Galaxy cinema,

We spent 3 nights here. The front desk staff were so helpful and friendly. We were able to leave our luggage when we went to Ha long bay and spend a little time here before departure to the airport. Our room was good on the 6th floor overlooking the street. Maybe a little noisy, but what do you expect in the middle of Hanoi. One criticism is of the breakfasts. They were OK, but not up to the standard of similar hotels we have stayed in Vietnam. Overall, the hotel is excellent value for money. Thanks to all the helpful staff.

Location is good in old quarter area. Many restaurants nearby. We stayed in a superior double/ twin room but room was very small. It was impossible for one guest to use washroom without disturbing other guest. Staff was very helpful. Quickly helped us with airport cab, nearby shop information and hot milk for the baby.

We arrived here when the temperature hit 49 degrees which is an insane temperature near the middle of June and despite that, we were put into a room at the very top of the hotel under the roof with broken air conditioning... We were so tired but we tried to get some sleep and thank goodness the next morning they moved us downstairs into a much cooler room. The rooms were small, dated but the showers were ok. The staff were very lovely and did try very hard to make our stay as good as they could. I have been to Ha Noi before but this place just was not as good as I expected. The food was ok, breakfast buffet was definitely well stocked and the omelettes/eggs etc were tasty. We decided to leave 2 days early and leave the city as it was just not really to our liking. The hotel did get us a transfer to our next destination at a pretty good price so it was not a bad way to go.

The rooms are a bit dated and need new furniture. Reception was very very friendly when I first checked in. However, when I checked out they asked me to fill in a survey. When I wrote down "7/10" on the survey form for the dated rooms, they confronted me about it and heavily pressured me to write a "9/10" or "10/10" positive review online. I understand they have targets to meet. However, I don't want to be confronted while on holiday. It made a very average stay feel mediocre. I wouldn't stay here again. There's many other places to stay in Hanoi.

The staff informed us they never update their system. So I managed to book for this property but actually their room is fully occupied. Requested me to cancel this reservation in booking.com 🤬 I would expect better coordination.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, provided us with good food recommendation! The hotel room is also clean and spacious, very well equipped. Breakfast is also provided at the hotel though not a lot of options available but adequate.
