This was a very relaxing and comfortable spa experience. The staff were competent and kind. They asked how I felt through the whole experience to make sure I was as comfortable. I give this place, the staff, and the experience 5 stars without question.
Excellent location in old quarter and incredibly friendly staff. Was able to walk to many good cafes and restaurants from the hotel. The staff were very knowledgeable and spoke good English. Would stay here again if I come back to Hanoi.
I can’t really say enough about this hotel. The staff went VERY above and beyond in assisting me with any needs I had. One even went as far as to accompany me to the post office to ship a package back home overseas to make sure it went smoothly. I mean who offers to do that? They initially offered to do it after their shift but I insisted we go during. I am usually skeptical when a hotel offers to help you book an excursion, but I could not have asked for a better Ha Long Bay trip. She listened to what I wanted out of the cruise then recommended what turned out to be the perfect fit for me. I could go on and on about how great this hotel is (didn’t even mention the amazing breakfast), but it would take me all day. Just trust me, it’s wonderful.
Clean facilities and in a great location. The staff is very nice and eager to help (they helped us arrange travel services to other cities.. Breakfast is great. We also did the massage in the hotel and it is very recommended. Fairly priced.
JM was a great find for us during our stay in Hanoi. The hotel is well maintained with a very professional and friendly staff. We indulged and treated ourselves to a massage as well which was also very enjoyable. The facilities were clean and it was reasonably priced. Breakfast buffet was also nice with an a la carte breakfast menu. I have to note that the coffee was excellent (first time drinking Vietnamese coffee). Overall a positive experience and as anticipated. Recommend.
Best service from the staff at front desk conter & the restaurant. They decorated our room & presented a nice breakfast table for us the next morning. Touched by their gesture. Would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you Ms Ha & Ms Amelia (hope i got your names correct) for everything. Appreciate it. 😊
WOW. Amazing. Sublime. Perfect. A true five-star hotel. This little gem in the middle of Old Quarters is staffed by some of the most amazing people I met in Hanoi. From the moment I contacted them through email on their website to the moment I left in their car service waving goodbye to Oliver, who manages the front desk, and his line of attendants on the front walk, my every need was anticipated and taken care of even before I knew I had one. When I arrived late at night, the porters whisked away my luggage from the back of my taxi before I even got out of the car. Then Mr. He at the front desk had a snack and cooling towel ready for me while he processed my check-in. The next morning, the breakfast buffet run by Huen (I’m sorry I’m probably blotching the spelling of your beautiful name), was delicious and amazing. He made sure that I knew I could have eggs and French toast made to order. So I did, I ordered two eggs sunny-side up. The staff behind the counter greeted me too, and as did the chef — my eggs came out with “Happy Day, Ms Look” written on my plate. No better way to start my day than that! When I asked Huen about taking a cooking class, he immediately offered to help, and directed me to Oliver at the front desk. By the time I finished breakfast and went downstairs to meet Oliver, he had already called the cooking school and found an available spot for me. Apron Up was only about a 20-minute walk from the hotel, and I headed over and spent one of my happiest days in Hanoi with them, shopping for fresh ingredients at a street market and cooking with a wonderful chef. (I’ll write a separate review for Apron Up.) At the end of my happy cooking day, I brought back my delicious creations to share with Oliver, and by the end of that evening, he and his colleague, Miss Ha, had written me “reviews” of my cooking as thank you notes. “Best nem[sic] I have ever eaten!” And “Very well balanced taste….You cook good like a Vietnamese!” That’s the best praise ever! So I went back to cooking school for a second day, and made them more goodies! Appreciation is always inspiring! As I was leaving the hotel to run an afternoon errand on my second day, a beautiful woman (I’m sorry I didn’t ask for your name) came running out after me and asked if I wouldn’t stop and have a refreshing drink first (I really should have listened to her). Seeing that I was determined to march right back into the heat, she produced a cooling towel for me to take with me. It turned out to be the best thing I had all afternoon. Thank you, I will not forget your kindness. Though I had already checked out, by the time I returned from my errand, the staff was ready with towels and supplies for me to shower before heading to the airport. What a bonus! Thank you!!! So that’s how it went for me at this super elegant hotel staffed by the most caring, kind and beautiful souls. Their level of service is unmatched anywhere, and it comes without any of the snobbishness and pretentiousness that so often accompanies “elegance” but in fact, diminishes it. I left JM Marvel inspired to be more kind, helpful, and generous to strangers, just as they were to me. Thank you, Huen, Oliver, Miss Ha, Mr He, Beautiful Lady, Miss Josie who answered my emails, the breakfast chef and prep cooks, the maids who kept my room immaculate, and the wonderful guys who opened the doors and handled my luggage so that I never had to. Cảm ơn bạn rất nhiều! 🙏…
Superb service at this hotel, excellent rooms and sumptuous breakfast. Special thanks to Ms Anna for upgrading our rooms and also arranging a great Ha Long Bay cruise. Highly recommended. Must visit when in Hanoi.
This was the first hotel I stayed at in Hanoi! Anna was super sweet and helpful when it came to check in and recommendations. The room was clean, breakfast was amazing, and staff was very pleasant. It’s close to a lot of restaurants, shops, etc. Very convenient location. I would definitely come stay here again!
I booked one week on JM Marvel for a family of four and we were not disappointed. From the warm reception by Ha and Eric, to the constant attention with us end to end, the staying was really joyful. Anna and Erica were very supportive on helping book day trips to Ha Long Bay and Nimh Binh as well as food tour. The bedrooms are cozy and nice, spacious enough, and the hotel is located in a not so busy street and close to major attractions. Breakfast offered plenty options, from international to local foods. Chef Tui prepared delicious meals to order. I'd definitely recommend and stay there again.
