This is a great value for money hotel, the rooms are basic, but very clean with nice linen and the beds + pillows comfortable. It's our new go-to holiday destination. Located close to Jomtien Beach it is so much nicer than if we had stayed in Pattaya town. The hotel's location is 5 minutes walk to the beach, lovely Thai and European restaurants and cafes around the corner, and gay bars. It's a lot quieter and chilled location than Pattaya town, and has everything you need including a supermarket in easy walking distance. It offers 2 separate pool areas, friendly reception and house-keeping staff who made us feel very welcome. Even though it's literally around the corner from the gay nightlife area, it's a very quiet oasis.

I have been coming to this resort for a few years. It's great to see it slowly coming back after the past few years. The staff are wonderful and they do a great job in helping there guest. If you laundry done, the hotel does not offer this service, but they are more happy to send it out for you. There are a lot of laundry spots if you need it.
This time, I had a different room, 206, which was great. Had a small problem with the safe a quick call to reception and in a few minutes maintenance came a fixed what good service I love looking at the waterfall. The sound of water is very relaxing. The hotel is in a good location walking distance to the beach and there is some great restaurants around. If you need a few snack 7eleven is close or for a longer stay, there is a supermarket just up the road. The night in Jomtien is great, but if that is not your thing, you can easily avoid it. As the hotel contiune to get back on it feet I wish them all the success and would highly recommend them.

When arriving to Pattaya/Jomtien our building had no electricity for three day so we’re forced to stay in a hotel for a couple of nights. From “we have to” get a hotel room to “we want to” stay longer was only a few steps from our condo.

We had seen the hotel numerous times when passing by and it looked nice.

When we arrived asking for a room early in the morning, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. They got a room set up for us in an hour while we had breakfast. That was divine considering we just got off a 24 hr flight. Nothing seemed to be a problem for the staff to fix for us.

The room was a great standard double room with a nice balcony. The bathroom was also very nice. The room was very nice and clean, and the bed was wonderful.

The staff really went out of their way to help us out with various things. They were always smiling and friendly.

Good breakfast with both western and Asian dishes. Also nice to be able to choose to eat inside or outside.

Beautiful pool area but a bit too much shade for us.

If we ever need to stay at a hotel in Jomtien area, we will absolutely stay at your hotel again ❤️

Pros: small, tranquil hotel, not too busy. Great location in terms of being near the beach, bars and some restaurants, but as it's right in the gay area, might not be to everyone's taste.

Cons: the hotel is dated, our patio door didn't lock, and the water from the shower went into the sink area. I've never been in a hotel before where there is a price list detailing how much you will have to pay for things if they are found to be missing. I advised reception that slippers, a bean bag and a mini bar definitely weren't in our room to start with!

Advice: get a room overlooking one of the pools, I think a room on the street side would be too noisy. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, not a great selection and no labels and the staff did not communicate at all, other than to take my food voucher off me (reception staff were nice). Omelettes are available, but I only found this out from another guest, as not communicated in any way. On one occasion the hot dogs and ham were cold which I pointed out to staff.

Overall: The hotel offers a gift for 5 star reviews, but I would rather be honest.
How much time do we actually spend in our hotel room. For the money, it's worth a stay.

Spent two weeks at The Agate Pattaya Boutique Resort. Excellent value and fantastic staff. Comfy bed, small fridge, water kettle, daily complimentary water and instant coffee. Location of the hotel is another plus. Less than a five minute walk to Jomtien beach, multiple eateries within a five minute proximity to the hotel, the Thai Blind Massage Institute is right next door, Supertown Jomtien Complex is only steps from the hotel’s entrance and easy access to the Baht bus that takes you to downtown Pattaya.

I've been to Jomtien Beach a half dozen times, but this was the first time I stayed here. Previously I have walked past this hotel and wondered about it. This place is GORGEOUS! The Jomtien Complex can be a bit seedy and run down, but this property is first class. The staff are amazing and so kind! We had drinks downstairs one night and one of they were hosting a birthday party for a friend. We were actually hand fed birthday cake and they shared drinks with us.

I highly recommend this property, we enjoyed the beautiful pool area with the glass elevator to our rooms.

A pleasant small hotel, with very hospitable and friendly stuff always eager to help out with any minor issue (simplify your English sufficiently to be understood).
Clean rooms, both swimming pools and premises.
Lovely design: very authentique yet classy and elegant.
Rooms to any taste: I prefer the calm side but there are also rooms facing a busy street with nightly shows. Just make sure to voice your preference out at the moment of booking not to be disappointed.
Good location: the sea, a busy local morning market and most amenities are all in the near vicinity.
In short, I am nicely surprised with the hotel’s European level service. Thank you Agate Pattaya for being a wonderful base for my Thai holiday!

It's been a tough 2 years in Thailand with the current environment I was so happy to return back. The Hotel is not running at it full capacity at this stage but glad it's was able to open again. Currently there is a few changes but I totally understand that the main pool is open which has the waterfall you can relax by. The Bar and Restaurant and Spa are currently close that due to the current environment but don't let that put you off. There is limited staff but good to see some old faces, The cleanliness of the property has not drop . The beach is within walking distances and there are a few new food stalls open if u need a bit to each. They are following all the guide lines to keep there guest safe and happy. There Wi-fi works well . At night there is walking street which has many great bar and shows or if u want something a little quieter there also a few bars away from the main strip for a quiet drink. I look forward in return as soon as I can

Sadly our 2 week stay is coming to an end. This is our fourth stay at the Agate. Upon arrival we were greeted with “welcome home” and the is exactly how it felt.

A big thank you to all the reception staff who always greet you when you come and go.

A very special thank you to the young man who maintained our room to the highest standard during our stay.

We look forward to returning in the near future.
