Easy check in with very nice staff. Was seen to the room but when entering, it was very obvious that it was a smoking room as the stench was very strong. I was told that all rooms were smoking rooms. Nice spacious room with a lovely sea view. When I went to have a shower, it was one that had a hose in the bath which I didn't mind. However, the hose was only about 4 foot long and so it was only good for the lower body and I had to crouch down to wash my hair. I did ask to change rooms but was told I would have to upgrade and bearing in mind I was booked in for 3 weeks, I declined.
Sandy Spring is centrally located in Pattaya. It's near the beach. A huge number of restaurants (of different styles) are within walking distance and a proper supermarket is within a 3-minute walk. We had a suite room. In addition to the bedroom it had a good sized living room and a large balcony. There was also a large fridge, which was handy for keeping our drinks cold. The room was a bit dated, but the only thing that disturbed about it was that there was only one room key (a traditional key, not a key card). Even though the room was pretty large, it was quite plain and simple. Two small bottles of water were provided daily. There was a pool where beach chairs and towels were provided. The hotel was pretty quiet and they ran a limited service. The hotel bar didn't serve food and room service wasn't available. Luckily there was an English pub right nextdoor which served also breakfast - but it wasn't the most pleasant environment for a breakfast when others were having their morning beers there. Also the pool area wasn't staffed. When we checked in, the aircon in the bedroom of our room didn't work. The bellman tested it when he took us to the room and immediately moved us to the neighbouring room. Well, after a few days the aircon broke there. When we reported about it, we were moved back to our original room, where the aircon had been repaired meanwhile.…
I've stayed here before so thought I'd return. I wanted the sty for about ten nights. On the third day reception told me that they were going to CLOSE the hotel in five days which explained why only one elevator was working and the restaurant was closed. Later that day reception phoned me to say they were closing that next morning and I had to get out! They did refer me to another hotel that was comparable and had the same price. So I left!
i have stayed in this hotel a number of times over the years the pricing for rooms represents great value, there is no breakfast on offer but plenty of options nearby, they have a pool,on site parking, the rooms have been upgraded and refurbished over the last year or so, you pay a little more for those rooms but they are very good, some with sea views on the 6th floor.you can book sea view rooms. with a really nice outlook and aspect, it's well positioned with restaurants and shopping malls nearby, the baht bus passes either end of the Soi (street) going both in a northerly and southern direction making it perfect to move around town with ease the reception staff are always very friendly i do enjoy staying here.
Fantastic service. Great rooms. The sportsman next door delivers to all parts of the hotel. Massage place directly across the street is legit. Haircut and shave down the street is refreshing AF. The place is family owned and you're treated with love. So respect!
Yah, renovations are ongoing at the Sandy Spring. When I checked in I was told the extreme noise was only 4 hours during the afternoon. Totally NOT true. Everyday the loud hammering, air-hammers and other equipment started early in the morning and went until around 6PM.
The hotel is well situated in the heart of Pattaya, about 5 min walk from the walking street and about a few min walk from the shopping malls. The rooms are quite comfortable and clean, the suite rooms have an excellent view of the bay you could sit and watch the sun rise with a hot cup of Tea or coffee. The only sad part in that they do not provide a tea maker in the room quite surprising though as even small hotels have a tea maker in rooms, it is a well stock refrigerator. I tried the laundry service quite well done and reasonable prices for the price really a good hotel .
I had a wonderful stay at the Sandy Springs. The staff here were a delight. Very helpful if you needed to know something about Pattaya. For me, the location was brilliant, central to everywhere. Having a large balcony was great. I had a predominantly a street view with a partial beach view. The water pressure from the showers was possibly the best I have ever experienced in any hotel in Thailand, wonderful. The room and amenities were just right for my time here. The bed was adequate. The pool was nice. The hotel is guest friendly and if you decide to bring a guest back to your room, the staff at the front desk give you a courtesy call as your guest leaves to make sure everything's good (wish more hotels would do this, may save a few problems). I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody coming to Pattaya and I look forward to staying here again sometime in the foreseeable future. …
Great room with balcony and separate bedroom and bathroom. Nice and clean. Air conditioning in both, bedrooms and living room. Ceiling fan in both as well. A quiet, good location and very good prices. Pool in its own area.
Stayed at the hotel for 4 nights in a poolside room. The rooms are large and well equipped, the air conditioning is icy cold, the bed comfortable and complimentary water is supplied daily. The central location on Soi 13 makes it easy to walk to all the main attractions around Pattaya. The staff are friendly and efficient. I didn't try the food at the hotel because there is so much choice just outside the front doors. I would recommend this hotel and will return again.
