The ambience, furnishings, service and food were all above expectations. This is a luxury hotel at a very reasonable price located in a high-class area of Pattaya. We really liked the gigantic shark tank.
Stayed at the hotel over the long weekend. My daughter loved the family room with bunk beds, while I really enjoyed the big balcony. Family suite is recommended! A bit pricey, but worth it, with huge living room and even a jacuzzi bathtub. Service is nice, especially Khun Pong at the restaurant. Ohh and the sharks! They have an aquarium with sharks! The a/c in the room was a bit too cold for my taste, but the team was very nice and offered extra blankets. All in all, good value for money, recommended!
This hotel is in a good location. The staff however are sullen, never smile and clearly dislike working there. On check in the receptionist hardly any English. She demanded to see our vaccination records which I produced. She clearly didn’t understand them or became bored because she photographed one of my 3 vaccination details and totally ignored even checking my wife’s. She then tried upselling us capsules for the in room coffee machine. Very unprofessional. The hotel building itself was previously used by one of the big chains - Centara. They gave up the building and it’s now just being left to make money with little maintenance. The elevator doors make an uncomfortable clank as they shut and the bedroom air con is very noisy. The room itself is run down and the shower glass was dirty and heavily stained. Going up to the pool level was our major disappointment. This area is shabby run down and very noisy. The hotel air con units are located just above that level and sitting by the pool is like sitting next to a loud engine revving all the time. The staff make things worse by trying to drown it out with awfully loud music - it’s a disaster. The pool area is so shabby with cables everywhere and a major feeling of decline. Perhaps the worst aspect personality for us was the fitness room. I hope the photos I have added work as you will see all the cardio equipment is out of order. Most of it has been stripped down and clearly hasn’t been used in a while. When I spoke to reception they thanked me for informing them ! Quite unbelievable. I would not have booked our stay had I known about the gym. The hotel need to inform potential guests it’s not usable at present.. The towels provided for our room were very old and badly frayed, one occasion both towels were dirty and we rejected them. The replacements were little better. When we checked in the hotel didn’t seem to have many guests. It improved a day later to coincide with the Thai Songcran holiday. I imagine it will get very quiet again now that’s over. Another Western guest was complaining about his room to a staff member whilst we are breakfast - he was offered a room change. It seems a common thread if you look at the previous review for guests to have to ask for a room change. This hotel has little chance of staying viable with the big downturn in Thai tourism - it’s simply poorly run and not at all inviting. Their only hope is either to spend large sums of money or hope the Chinese come back eventually as they don’t worry too much about standards.…
My husband & I have been travelling around Thailand for the last 3 months & have stayed in 10 different locations. This hotel has been the best by far. We even compared it to a top London hotel for quality of the rooms, restaurant and the pool area and also for the high standards of all members of staff. At this point we would like to say a personal thank you to Toh (assistant manager) for his professional & friendly manner & also Las (front desk) who both made our stay more memorable. Both spoke perfect English which really helped. We started our 2 day stay in a double deluxe room which was wonderful. On arrival we had a couple of small issues in that there was no plug in the bath & the phone was not working properly. Both were sorted within minutes of letting them know. We were let down by our next accommodation so Toh agreed a deal on a beautiful suite for a further 4 days. This was pure luxury & a life saver at the same time. The beds in the hotel are amazingly comfortable & we slept our best here. The hotel says ‘you will come here as a guest & leave as family’ & this cannot be more true. This is the first year we haven’t visited since it opened, we love this hotel and the team so much we usually spend 8-12 weeks a year here and had our wedding here as did our friend. You could not wish for better service, friendlier staff and exceptional food. The rooftop bar gives you the best view of the bay with a gorgeous sand beach on your doorstep. We have travelled a lot and always make sure we stay here as often as we can. We have missed all the team here and hope to see you later this year. I stayed in this hotel in 2018 i was amazed it was stunning, the beach is only a stones throw away, supermarket on the corner, taxi,s across the road, launderette near by, the rooms are lovely nice and clean, there is a rolling blind in the bathroom, private or open up to you, the food was great, the fish tank was stunning the staff are very friendly and helpful, jomtien just a walk along the beach away, the breakfast was stunning to say the least, I would have booked again only just a tad out of my reach, but this place is a hidden gem. Please visit this hotel and you will get what im trying to say. stunning,
Centara Grand Phratamank Pattaya is great and price reasonable The front desk is very friendly and makes you feel welcome from the beginning. Amazing shark tank in the main dining, great reception from the hotel’s staff. Room - Rooms are very nice, clean and spacious. Service - All staff was well-trained and very professional. Food - Breakfast is very various, Asian including sushi and noodles, American and continental.
Bad smell in the room, bad condition and found ants on bed. They fix the problem about bad smell by using perfume oil that makes it worse. They should fix the crack in the room (see photo). It's not nice to see this in 5 stars hotel.
I stay in this hotel 2 time the best 2 time ever in pattaya and the best hotel and staff exactly the manger of hotel Miss natty and Mr.top helpful and so kind I advise all to stay in this hotel believe me you will comeback again because everything is good and the best staff i meet ever in my life anything you want they will give you with big smile 🥰
Bed is well-decorated with soft mattress. Toilets were clean and hygiene as expected. We found fungus spore at the ceiling, cockroach in the wardrobe and the lights didn’t work well although Mr.Ya and his team try as hard as they could to fix it. Mr.Ya also tried to give us a new room which was more expensive, and high-graded , but it didn’t meet our needs. The only things we impress is attempt, service mind and helpfulness of Staffs’ team especially Mr.Ya. Please send this complimentary to him and his team. Next time, We won’t choose Centara again.
