Firstly I have stayed at this establishment twice before, on one of those occasions they were trying to extort more money out of me. My friend who had another room also complained to me about the same thing this made me look bad as I had recommended this place, on this trip I booked through an online booking agency it was 900 Thai baht cheaper to do it this way per night. However when we use the online booking agency we only booked for the first three nights through the agency two rooms at approximately 1800 bahts each. We stayed for the initial 3 nights and decided to extend our trip by another 4 days, At this point I very clearly asked the girls at the front desk is it cheaper to book through the online booking or to book directly at the counter? I was told by two separate staff members booking at the counter is cheaper... However when I looked at my bank statement they had charged me $2,700 parts per room per night for an extra 4 nights (they were both horribly dishonest) I do not recommend the establishment and I am very very disappointed in their behavior even as we were leaving they will still trying to extort more money from us. It pains me to say this because it's a nice establishment but give it a big MISS...…
Stayed for 4 nights in July. The hotel is clearly in need of renovation but the best thing about it is the location. Perfect for single guys near all the 'hotspots' and you can see see the beach! However, annoyingly WiFi stopped working after Day 1 and never got fixed.... Paid £38 a night, with better options in Pattaya but you pay for the great location
Title says it all. I booked this place based on reviews touting the wonderful breakfast buffet; it’s gone due to COVID, and now you’re served a lackluster variety plate of things you may or may not want. Upon arrival I tried to pay using my MC-branded Thai SCB ATM card, but they would not accept it because my name isn’t on the card (even though it requires a PIN). This is the first time I have ever encountered this objection. I asked where the nearest SCB ATM was and they had no idea, so I had a sweaty trudge to find one (after a full day of traveling) and withdraw the full amount of the bill before I could check in. Odd attitude in a place now desperate for visitors and where those likely to be staying will be like me, foreign nationals on work permits with local bank accounts (tourists are still barred from entering Thailand). If I do come back to Pattaya I’ll be staying elsewhere.…
its very sad that the corona virus made all hotels to close their operation. some of them used the time to improve their rooms and infrastructure and some unfortunately did not. the baywalk residence pattaya belongs to the latter. we got probably the worst of the rooms because obviously they started to clean the other rooms. unfortunately we discovered sand in the bed and hair that were not from us. other then that the room had a strong smell from the long period of not being ventilated. after comlaining the staff offered another room of the same category. unfortunately we discovered again sand in the bed. because it was short before midnight the front desk lady offered us a room in a higher category. that room was ok and clean but the experience we had didnt convince us to stay for the whole booking so we checked out in the morning. the front desk manager refunded the second night without any problems and he was also very sorry for what happened. in general the staff was very friendly and couteous. but the management should have taken the break as a chance and not as a burden.…
Booked this hotel back in November 2019 along with other hotels and due to stop there in a weeks time. Unfortunately, due to flight restrictions, COVID-19 and even restrictions in place by Thai Government we cannot fly out or stay in hotels. All other hotels except for this one will give full refund. Absolutely disgusted with their service and lack of concern over the phone, we even paid extra for free cancellation which unfortunately ran out a few days ago before all the restrictions came into place.
I am travelling around thailand on a motorbike this is our 3rd year(47 provinces ) about 30 to go , so i think by now i can judge ,good and bad , because i give this 5 stars its certainly not because its luxury ,its because it represents value for money even with faults , some areas of the property are tired and need a make over ,but the location ,staff make up for any faults for the money paid , it not a 5 star resort infact 3 would be good ,however we stayed here twice within a week via Koh Chang and had 2 different rooms varying prices but was all good ,my answer yes i would stay here again
The hotel located in front of Pattaya main beach. The room is nice and clean. Staffs are friendly and welcoming. However, hot water doesn’t function very well, sometimes it’s too hot and suddenly it’s cold without charge or touch anything. We are disappointed with breakfast, very few selections of choices.
I been staying at this hotel for the last 10 years when i visit pattaya! They have not done any renovations to the hotel! They still use old keys instead of keycards! The rooms look worn! Very very poor blackout curtains! Too much light in the room! Close to beach and food and starbucks! Hotel lobby is nice but the rooms need better black out curtains, key cards instead of old keys for security!
this hotel is a great find it is super clean and staff are great you are 5/7 min walk from walking street and about 15/20 min walk from LK Metro with is a better area to go too . Dont expect great views from from your room you need to go to the rooftop for the views of Pattaya
Unfriendly staffs in a very old hotel. Not recommended for anyone with family. Staffs are unprofessional and substandard quality. We had to wait long for check in. Meanwhile staffs were rude instead of helping guests. Old rooms reminded us the hotels back in 80s.
