The hotel is showing signs of the covid crisis and are partly shoot down. And that’s totally ok. But what’s very critical is that the hotel chooses to have an open Wi-Fi to save money. So of cause I got hacked Within 5 min. (So stupid- I have worked with cybersecurity) but had to check someone urgently. When I talked to the reception about this, they didn’t care at all. Just told me that’s because of covid. Even at the beach they have secure Wi-Fi. So if you need Wi-Fi for work. I suggest you find other opportunity for your stay at Pattaya.

Big rooms, clean and very nice and serviceminded staff. However they do not speak english very good. Breakfast buffet with lots of possibilities but I miss fresh bread in good quality. Prices for wine is in the high end, but the restaurant is good.

Very clean resort with nice pool area, which unfortunately closes at 19:00. Rooms spacious and view of the beach. Literally across the street from the beach and 5 min walk from Jomtien main beach road. Staff friendly and attentive.

I’ve stayed here 6 times over the past 13 years. The resort still is a welcome refuge from the chaos of the street. Arriving, one drives down a private road beside tacky white condos, only to end up at the end of the road and the peacefulness of the resort becomes evident. The only thing between the pool/grounds of the resort and the beach is a cobblestone street which is closed to traffic in the daytime, and being dead end, has almost no traffic in the evening. You can actually see this street in google earth. A 5 minute stroll along the cobble street brings you to where you can catch taxied to Pattaya, about 20 baht each. The staff are helpful and polite. The rooms clean with pleasant balconies overlooking the pool. Breakfasts are fine. The only down side are the endless Russians (sorry, but it’s true) who put a towel on a lounger and expect it to be reserved for them all day long, even if they’re not at the pool. The resort will arrange a pick up at the airport for you. They’ve never failed me in this respect. A great choice for Jomtien.

We stayed at The Avalon Beach Resort, Pattaya , Thailand on our Honeymoon. Good size room adjacent to the outside pool. 5 minutes away from the Sandy Beach. Unfortunately the staff all looked miserable/ unhappy and there was limited communication between staff and guests. The breakfast was basic and unamaginative. During a violent storm on the 23rd the generator blew up. There was a huge explosion and no electricity. The staff/ management did not inform us on what had happened or care for their guests. It was frightening and we were not evacuated . Just left alone to sweater in our rooms without any air conditioning. In temperatures above 30'C Then on the 24th there was no water. So we could not flush the toilet. Eventually staff brought us some bottled water. We were so glad to leave that day, late morning. A hotel that had no water, no working toliet and no electricity. I can not recommend this hotel because they did not look after us .

Room well equipped clean and comfortable . Following complaint about noisy airconditioner at night . Room was changed very willingly , At the reception both Noi and Nam were very polite ,flexible , efficient and good willing and so smily . Very satisfied with Wifi system all along my stay for a week .Breakfast was OK for all .Loungers around the pool were occupied from the morning by towels though their owners were absent on the beach .Bad habit but nothing doing about it . Had my lunch at O LALA very close restaurant . Reasonable price and tasty. The hotel offers a shuttle service to Thapraya main road .You can use it or prefer a short walk of about 10 minutes from the back exit of the hotel all along the inside road of C and D Condos buildings . The central air port bus end station is very close on the Thapraya main road . We found the Dongtan beach in front of the hotel very clean and our early morning stroll along it was pleasant enough comparing it to our last visit two years ago .This section of the beach road has improved a lot but it needs more improvement in order to make it a real "WOW " as it deserves .It has an enormous potential . We will come back .

It is with great regret to right this review, as I have been a regular guest of 5 stays in the last 3.5 years (approximately 60 nights). Whilst advising them I have stay before, there was no recognition on arrival. No welcome back, thanks for staying again or good to have you back. I advised a couple of requests, such as 2 extra pillows & remove minibar. Neither was done prior to check-in although they had my arrival details. No water on arrival. After traveling a long way , unable to shower. No hot water the next morning. If you want a lounge chair by the pool, you have to reserve it by 9 am, otherwise you miss out. Most chairs remain empty with towels on them all day, as guests go to beach all day, and return late in the afternoon for a swim. Staff do not go around the pool offering food or drinks, so I go to 7 Eleven just down the road. A lot of kids playing in the pool, throwing balls around, if you want a relaxing swim, don't stay here. Each room gets 2 free bottles of water per day. If you take them down to the pool you get charged for them. This is what housekeeping advised me after they could not find the empty bottles in my room. Housekeeping does do a good job with an old product. The rooms are old and tied. Mould in the bathroom. DVD player, who has DVD's these days. Need to upgrade so you can play Netflix. Internet is slow and goes in and out. Internet was not available for Apple phones for a day. Room service menu has not changed for 4 years. Breakfast is the same every day. No extra touches done for Christmas Day. Except the same 10 Christmas Carol's on repeat all day every day. Requested 6 pm late check-out, and charged even though I had expressed my disappointments during my stay. Front Office manager didn't respond to any of my issues.

Stayed here for 4 nights in November. Before booking I read reviews. Some had commented on the friendliness of the staff not being what it should. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Always asking if they could be of service. No issues at all. The pool area was very nice. Chairs are limited and do fill up early so I suggest if you want to spend time by the pool, get down there early. VERY convenient to the beach. It is directly across the street. And if you are looking for a bit of action, it is only a short walk down the beach. Also, some reviews complained that the resort was "old" or "in need of upgrades". Again, I thought it was more than acceptable. Of course it is a resort that is directly on the beach. There is going to be a beach feel and some ocean weathering but nothing that would make me regret booking or staying here again. In conclusion, Avalon is a great place to escape the craziness of Pattaya yet still be close enough if you want to go out. Taxi to Pattaya was around 300B.

Charming place nestles right on the beach among all the condominiums. A bit of an older style but still very clean and well kept. Our suite had a little of an weird odor when we first checked in but it went away after we aired it out a bit. Everyone working here is very nice but their language skills could be a little better. Nice big pool in the middle of the hotel with beautiful landscaping.
