Rimping Village is located in the city centre, close to the historic attractions the city offers including the famous Night Bazaar and the charming Watgate community by the Ping River. Enjoy an atmosphere of relaxation that is part and parcel of the Northern tradition. A cool, refreshing swimming pool is placed below a huge banyan tree so that guests can absorb the mood of nature while finding relief from the tropical heat.

Detailed Reviews
In our 2 weeks in Thailand, this was definitely our favorite property. We were picked up in a luxury van for free transport to the property, Upon arrival the excellent customer service was evident at the reception desk, where the staff did everything in their power to make us feel welcomed and to take care of every need that we had. When needing a taxi, we only had to ask at the front desk and a taxi would arrive quickly. The grounds of the property are quiet and beautiful and we noticed staff constantly cleaning, raking and tidying up. The pool is beautiful. One minor critique would be that the lounge chairs do not adjust to a comfortable position to be able to read. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable with comfy beds and pillows. Drying racks were conveniently placed outside our door. The breakfasts were delicious and again, staff go out of their way to be helpful. In the afternoon, a nice selection of snacks and beverages are provided free of charge. I highly recommend Rimping Village for a stay in Chaing Mai. It’s wonderful!

The hotel is very nice and clean. The service from all their staff was very polite and friendly. The vibe around the pool and restaurant was just so relaxing. We could just sit there all day.
Free breakfast was excellent in options for both Thais and foreigners. Oh that coffee machine at the breakfast area is just amazing. You just drink nice cappuccino or latter or whatever you like from that machine, and excellent taste.
Also free afternoon snacks is another of the best things. They gather all the best thai desserts from sources they have and let their customers try the best and popular choice.
The area of the hotel is quite good. You can walk to an organic supermarket around the corner, close to 7-11 and there is a nice Thai restaurant a couple mins walking as well. Or you can also walk to the night bazaar as well...
There are bikes at the hotel for you if you'd like to bike around.
Love love this hotel.... Really recommend this place.

Thank you to all team members for their professionalism; kindness and guidance during our stay. The accommodation was well appointed with in room Nespresso Machine on the second floor facing the courtyard. We were surprised when we checked into our room to see Red Rose Petal Heart on the bed as my husband and I were celebrating our anniversary (Thank you for the nice gesture). The buffet breakfast was delicious served with latte as well as the afternoon Thai sweets and refreshments. My husband and I recommend this wonderful boutique hotel to anyone visiting Chiang Mai.

We had 3 days in this hotel at the end of a tour on the Mekong river in Laos and before moving on to Phuket. It is situated in a side street near the iron bridge which is very close to the night market. The hotel is very quiet with no traffic noise and has pathway connecting it to the main road. The staff are very polite and welcoming, and very efficient. The hotel pool, although not massive is a welcome addition after a days sightseeing. We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a haven in a busy city.

Rimping Village Hotel, hidden within the old town community, offers large rooms with finished facilities and amenities in Northern Thai Style architecture. I chose this hotel because I want to experience the local life that Chiangmai has to offer. From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I felt like I was in a local's home. The gardener paused his work to assist me with my luggage. Imm and Aoy are the two Front Office ladies who can arrange absolutely everything for you. The hotel is located in a residential neighborhood surrounded by local homes. You can go to a nearby temple and a fresh market where locals go to buy food. It's a unique experience.
Despite the hotel's historic architecture, each room has two televisions, one in the living room and one in the bedroom. Netflix provides limitless entertainment. The hotel provides all necessary amenities, including a large bathroom with a bathtub and shower. I give this hotel five stars for location, service, and comfort.

The spacious family suite had all we needed for a comfortable stay. It was a large room that could be partitioned in two by closing the sliding doors. The hotel even provided a small packet of detergent powder and a drying rack.
Breakfast was great, my family has different preferences and all of us found our favourites. My favourite is the Rice Soup (it is a rice porridge) - it was cooked with slices of pork one morning, prawn on another, etc. It was like grandma's cooking and warmed the cockles of my heart before filling my tummy. There were breads, cakes, pancakes, waffles, bacon, baked beans, chicken sausages, pork sausages, tomatoes, rice porridge, glutinous rice wrapped in banana leaf, salad, etc, and eggs prepared the way we requested.
The staff were all lovely. They were all so friendly and helpful. They gave the place a warm, neighbourly vibe.
IMPORTANT if you are taking Grab to the hotel: type the destination as Rimping Village Boutique Hotel. We didn't include 'Boutique' initially and were twice brought to a busy traffic junction 5-minute drive away.

We had 4 nights in the Rimping Village and booked a family room as we are traveling with 2 little kids. Room was spacious and very clean and silent at night although the room was quite poorly soundproofed (you can hear the doors closing from the other rooms) - but we obviously was lucky with our neighbors :) we had a very good sleep!!! Beds are very comfy!
Breakfast is good - everything there you need. Staff is friendly and helpful.
In total: a very nice place close to the night market with a couple of Thai restaurants around.
One minus: the pool is freezing cold (approx 19°) - so absolutely nothing for little kids!!

We stayed 5 nights in room 411. The things we loved - transfers included, breakfast had lots of variety, afternoon snacks, beautiful pool and gardens, staff very friendly. Our room was a good size.
Our towels looked a bit old and the bed linen was a little worn in places (a few holes).
If you like walking and exploring like we do, this is a great location.
I feel the room rate we paid was a bit high compared to other hotels in Old Town but overall I would recommend this hotel.

The nicest people! Rimping village is a great place to stay. The rooms were comfortable breakfast was delicious with both Thai and western food. The mango sticky rice afternoon snack was a huge hit in our family. But the thing that made it very special for us was the kindness of everyone who works there. When we return to Chiangmai which I hope is soon we’ll definitely come back

New South Wales, Australia1,615 contribution141 helpful votesGood morning
Can I ask is this hotel within walking distance to the old part of town and to local restuarants.
With breakfast do they do Thai options as well as western.
Thank you
Hi,
Rimping Village is about 20 minutes by walk to Thapae Gate, one of the gates of the old town. The hotel location is quite convenient. It is about 5 - 15 minutes walk to Night Barzaar and Anusarn food market, local restaurants, Rimping Supermarket, local market (Sanpakoi market), Warort market (The biggest fresh local market in Chiangmai). If you do not want to walk to the old town, the hotel can arrange a transportation for you (car, Red Car or local taxi, Tuk Tuk, van)
Regarding to the Breakfast, it is the buffet style with options of continental, Western, and Thai.
If you have any further question, please feel free to contact us via email. We are more than happy to assist you.
Have a great day!
