We stayed hear earlier this month just for 2 nights either side of a jungle trek. On arrival the rooms smelt, and the bathroom was so grimy. Worm had made it's home on the floor. The hosts were very friendly, but I think they are over whelmed by the upkeep required. After our jungle trek, on our 2nd visit we...

I booked and paid on line to stay here before and after spending the majority of time overnight at the amazing Elephant Nature Park. On arrival I was very welcomed by both older males who spoke good English. The room was filthy to say the least. Toilet/handbasin had not been cleaned properly 'forever'. No toilet paper at all. The floor...

I was positively surprised about the service in that little hotel. The reception lady helped me book a ticket to Bangkok, a day at the elephants camp and on the day of departure I was taken personally to the bus station. I knew I cannot expect luxury for 8 Euro per night - and it wasn't. Little room with a...

My partner booked here thinking the accommodation would be adequate for the week we stayed in chiang mai considering the price, we read the reviews which some show positive feedback (maybe written by the staff themselves?) we didn't stay long that was for sure. At first sight we walked in and saw a cockroach in the bathroom dead (not surprising...

Arrived early 6am after bus from Bangkok. All locked up and we waited an hour to get in but there was a room available right then which was a positive. The owner of the guesthouse was lovely but not very mobile and lived in an open door room downstairs which was pretty uncomfortable going Into the family room when asking...

Firstly the staff are lovely! Really pleasant... However you really do get what you pay for. Our room was small, dark, dingy, dirty and uncomfortable. The tap took 5 minutes before a dark water finally came through, the shower spat a VERY small amount of water at you before getting too hot and then stopping. Extremely poor, but really for...

Ben Guesthouse offers homestay rooms in a good price. It is not in a city centre but within walking distance from it. I liked the fact it was a bit away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Instead offered great culinary options around in the local market and nearby stalls. I was not sure if the restaurant was...

We stayed here in June 2013 , we were told about it from friends we met travelling Thailand and for 200baht we had a lovely double room with bathroom . The staff are super friendly and so accommodating, they booked the bus for us to PAI and only made a tiny commission, they offer free bicycles to explore the city....

Having travelled around the world, I can honestly say this place has one of the best value for money i have seen. No, for that price you are not going to get luxury/brand new rooms, but the heart-warming service and AMAZING and cheap food completely make up for it. Rooms do the job, give you a bed and a working...
