Chaba House is the perfect place to stay if you prefer a more authentic Thailand experience rather than living like the typical tourist. Chaba is a bit outside of the Old City. It is an easy 20 baht songthaew ride into the city and the Zoo and Huay Kaew Waterfall are within walking distance. Mr. Pathom is great and treats... More

The guesthouse isn't as close as they say from places. The price got all the sudden bigger when we had to pay. The place is not particulary clean (cockroach climbing up my leg while showering), doors falling apart... The internet didn't work. we found a brand new bigger, cleaner, better located place for the same price! (it's called Penny's place)... More

It is located outside of the busy part of Chiang Mai, but you can still find cheap and excellent food. The little Japanese "restaurant" on the little street is the best one. Mr Pattom is kind and... We stayed at the Chaba House for 5 nights. We only paid 350 baht per night. So it is hard to complain about anything and that is why we gave the place 5 stars. The hotel is not in the heart of the city so it is much more quiet and not as busy, but there are still plenty of... More

We had a very pleasant stay here and were really greatful to the owner for collecting us from the train station. He then took time to quickly show us the immediate area so we could get our bearings straight away. Room was clean and breakfast was quite large.
