Stayed there for one night in May. We had a hot day and the pool was a very nice relaxing experience. Located right in the center of the old town in a quiet side street. Easy to get to any location from the main road just meters further down. Breakfast was 'sold out', but there is a nice breakfast place...

the main problem here are the rats and the staff looking at them asif they were normal. Huge, grey rats are in and around this particular hotel and the management doesn't take to take action. The douches are extremely filthy. They clean douches and shared toilets in 3 or 4 days, very disgusting. They only good thing is the swimming...

the price isn't bad at this place but it's rather run down. It looks like it was probably a lovely place to stay a few years ago. But the room we had had damp on the walls, the air con didn't work properly and the bathroom was dirty. There's a pool which is nice, but there are tiles missing and...

We stayed a few days in the Smile House. The location is good (on the east side of the old city, quite close to Tha Pae), the guest house has a friendly and relaxed staff, a nice lobby and a nice swimming pool. The neighbours offer food, bicycles for rent and a laundry service. The rooms were a bit worn...

My family and I first stayed in Smile Guesthouse in 2005, when our children were 9. We met Eed and PJ (incorrect spelling) and their daughter (who is our children's age). They instantly made our family feel welcome. We, and another friend that we met there, return every 2 years since and we are going back January 2013. The Smile...

In a nice quiet street, smile house has all the comforts needed for a great stay in Chiangmai. Staff were not overly friendly but did there job and were helpful. I stayed in the cheaper rooms upstairs and they are by far the best. Shared bathrooms were spotless and you only share with one other room!! Room was clean, nicely...

I stayed her for about 3 nights with my brother and sister. My sister and I shared a double room on the top floor and my brother had his own room on the 2nd floor. Our beds were all Rock hard! Like super hard even for Thailand standards! Rooms were pretty clean. Would have saved even more money by staying...

I have stayed here many times and am embarrassed by the fact that I have 4 rooms booked up for friends coming up over Songkran. I just arrived back yesterday and it is actually in its sadest state yet. When I came over a year ago the pool was "cleaner" and the jacuzzi at least still worked(not slime green and...

When We First Arrived We Were Really Pleased With Our Room, It Was Large, Bright New Looking. We Opted For The Aircon Room With Shared Bathroom. Bathrooms All Needed Updating Really And All Had Lots Of Mosquitos Flying Around. Bedroom Was Fine Until A Cockroach Landed On My Girlfriends Head While She Slept Forcing Us To Move Rooms At 4am....
