We stayed in a double room for 300bath per night with our own bathroom. The room was clean, the beds were nice comparing to most of the very hard beds in asia. The staff was very nice and helpfull. The hostel has a great atmosphere and several lounges were you can meet other backpackers. Really enjoyed our stay here, would...

At the reception, the girl who received us, wasn't friendly at all, guess she had a bad day. We paid 250B for one night, in a double bed room. It was clean, in the garden we chilled out. There's free wifi available! Staff wasn't that friendly, but hostel was okay! Good value!

Friendly, chilled, clean and welcoming!! We stayed at Julie Guesthouse in December 2012 and it felt like the hub of Chiang Mai. Kanchana who works on reception greeted us with a smile and remembered my parter from years previously!! She was so friendly and helped us book our day trips- All amazing!! Our room was quiet, clean and comfy! The...

We came here as our travel guide recommended this place in a quite street with a nice garden for cheap. It is actually in a quite area but this hotel is full of young travellers staying and drinking in the garden until late in the night. I did not like the atmosphere and the staff was not always friendly. We...

Stayed here over 2 years ago on my first trip to asia. Its absolutely amazing how they managed to create such an oasis in the middle of a busy city. I made some good friends there which i traveled with afterwards. The hotel staff was always polite and nice. My plan was to stay for 3 days but i ended...

This was the first guest house I stayed at when I got to Chiang Mai. I then went travelling for a while and stayed in a couple of other places in Chiang Mai before returning to Julie guest house. You can chill out next to the pool table with a drink and socialise with people or if you'd rather keep...

I ended up at Julie's based on a word-of-mouth recommendation from a fellow traveler that had just stayed there. He said it was fun, popular and cheap. All of those adjectives are true BUT I would also add that it's overcrowded and shabby. It's the kind of place where you get what you pay for. The best thing Julie's can...

Julie's has an amazing vibe to it and is full of friendly sociable Backpackers. The location is great and you're bound to meet someone on your wavelength. With 3 chill out areas, movies in the evening, pool table, restaurant and drinks available it has everything you need. Communal bathrooms aren't that pleasant but rarely are anywhere!

I wanted to jump on and share how rude the staff were to my travelling partner and I during our stay, but I see that other negative reviewers mention they were kicked out after two nights like we were. I think this is terrible practice for a business. Anyway, I rarely leave reviews for things and am of the opinion...
