This was our first experiencing of a backpacker hostel and we were favourably impressed - ok the rooms were basic but the bed was comfortable, a/c worked and the shower was hot - what more can you ask for at the price? Atmosphere was friendly and nobody seemed too shocked at seeing a couple of oldies staying there. Food was...

We stayed in the hostel for about a week and we absolutely loved it! First impression is the exceptionally friendly and welcoming staff, and then we got struck by the personal book to write down the drinks you pick up yourself from the fridge (I've never seen such a level of trust before). It has a very nice and comfortable...

Very nice atmosphere/vibe, really relaxed. Price/quality of the food is great, it is really cheap and a lot of choice! Rooms are basic and look dirty maybe but they are clean and cheap. There is a nice common space where it feels like home. It is already my second stay and we like it. Would book again for third time,...

Cool guesthouse with a special atmosphere. In the lobby, you can consume a beverage/meal, play pool, chat with other guests or plan your next trip at the agency. The rooms were somewhat different, but we might have just been unlucky. In our room (102), we found some bugs in our bed. We still spent the night in the bed, but...

The main drawcard here seems to be that its cheap. However, as tight as our budget is, we couldn't stay more than a night. The shared bathroom is one of the most disgusting I've seen in several months of travel, the whole hostel smells like mould and damp, the staff looked bored and were unhelpful, and in general it wasn't...

Price was cheap 150baht, own room with shared bathroom however room smelt of old urine and bathroom was filthy. Staff was not great.. There is a socialable area but was it worth it? No. The answer is no. Also, wifi is only by reception.

By accident we stumbled upon this (not so unknown) gem hidden in a side road. We definitely stayed longer than we wanted to (motorcycle crash), but the Julie's was the right place to do so. Clean and super cheap dorms, pool table and very helpful staff. We even were able to postpone our trekking indefinitely after our crash. Only negative:...

It was good, the bedrooms were clean, no sign of bedbugs thank god, the bathrooms are small but doable, the staff were average when it came to requests. We had a double room (for 290 baht) at Julie 1. It was pretty basic with a fan and a very squished bathroom but all was fine and fit for purpose. The best thing about the guesthouse was the food and communal areas - there is a pool table and lots of comfy lie down areas to read a book....
