We traveled to Thailand in December 2010/January 2011. The Raming Resort and Spa was a comfortable hotel with a great location. It was clean, quiet, and the staff were helpful. Additionally, the taxi and "tok tok" drivers all knew the location. The room was basic and comfortable. I also used the spa services for a traditional Thai massage. The spa...

We stayed here for 3 nights in December. The room was really dusty with lots of webs and dead insects along the inside window ledges, lights etc. The decor was a bit old and there was little light in the room. Bathroom was quite small and the sink only had a cold and no hot water tap. The breakfast was...

We stayed in the Raming lodge after booking another hotel in Chiang mai first- The Royal Shilton, aftyer checking in to the Royal Shilton we realised that we are in the middle of nowhere and cabs etc are actually a bit pricey in Chiang Mai, so after one night we researched some more hotels and discovered the Raming Lodge- after...

The staff were very friendly and the hotel rooms were spacious. Breakfast was included in the price and there was lots on offer every day. The hotel was clean and the staff helped us organise a cookery course and elephant treking which was the highlight of our trip to Thailand. The hotel was in easy reach of the night bazaar...

This definitely isn't an upscale hotel but it isn't a gritty place either. This is a nice place to sleep and shower if you are plan on seeing Chiang Mai. Joe, at the front desk, was amazing and helpful. Included in our rate was complimentary breakfast each day, an hour massage for each day you stay, one bbq dinner and...

We stayed here 3 nights here in the beginning of december 2010. The hotel is very centrally located. The lobby is quite helpful when asked. Wifi worked, a little slow though...The spa was very nice and although it was much higher priced the the huge selection of "street spas" you find everywhere - we both felt it was worth it!...

We had reserved the Secret Garden after the brilliant reviews it had online, but after struggling with the distance from town, decided to book last minute at the Raming Lodge for just one night. I have to say it was a lovely hotel, set back slightly from the road - near to the Night Bazaar, on the main road for...

This place was highly rated in my guidebook, so I gave it a shot. It was clean and comfortable, and for the most part the staff tripped over themselves to be helpful to me. The room was a little tired and dark though, and not all that comfortable. The breakfast was pretty good, and the hotel is centrally located. Even...

The only plus with Raming hotel is the location, not to far from night bazar and from old city. On top, if you like seedy bars with no atmosphere, you will find plenty around. We stayed 2 nights and it was well enough. The architecture of the hotel is terrible with 2 aisles very closed to each other. The pool...
