We enjoyed a week or so here over new year - hotel was pleasent and staff very helpful. One thing though is that I would recommend to the hotel to supply rubber mats in the shower - on the first night of my stay (and yes I had been drinking) I took a nasty fall injuring my head quite badly - this was not solely the fault of the hotel I freely admit however both my wife and mother nearly had similar accidents during our stay - would be much safer with a shower mat. When it came to my incident the hotel staff could not have been more helpful. I would recommend this hotel and would certainly consider staying again.

Demanded 1000 bhat to clean a towel. I had a taxi booked for 6.30am and the staff wanted to check the room before I left. Brought down a towel that I'd used to wipe some mud of me after I'd been the elephant park. Told me I'd have to pay 2000 thb 1000 for each towel (the second towel was clean). I explained it was mud and would wash off. So she ran some water over it and the mud started to come off. Unhappy that they wouldn't be getting any money she stopped trying to clean it and demanded less money. I told that I'm not negotiating to clean a towel. She called her manager who went back and fourth trying to negotiate a price for the towel. The manager then started crying on the phone asking for money. I agreed to pay 200 thb so I could leave. This wasnt about a dirty towel it was a scam.

This is a very nice hotel, clean, friendly, convenient and reasonably priced. I have to laugh at the bad reviews here. Complaints that it isn't a palace, no full breakfast, construction nearby, room a bit late. This is an inexpensive hotel. Who pays 2 * prices and expects 5* service.

The rooms were clean, limited English and during our three night stay we spotted two rats in the entrance, on separate occasions Because the entrance is a few feet down a very narrow way, must walk, the rat ran right by us, when we asked about this situation they said they didn’t have a problem but feel they did not understand our concerns.

This hotel is ideally located for exploring Chiang Mai, right in the centre of the old city. The facilities are OK with clean, air conditioned rooms but an absence of lifts means carrying luggage upstairs to the top of the hotel a challenge. The staff are friendly but the fact they tend to speak limited English makes it tough to communicate. This hotel is fine if you want short stay in an authentic place in a good location.

My husband and I stayed here for one night and were pleased with our stay! Very nice and clean hotel. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Only drawback is that it was a bit noisy at night. We would stay here again!

We had luck with the room, it was on the third floor and had nice view and nice natural light. Unfortunately, we had some problems and thats why I would not suggest this hotel. We checked in at 11am, but the room was not avaiable until 2pm. We come back at 2.30pm, but the room was not ready yet. We tied to complain but the receptionist could not understand us, it was her first day of work and she was left alone not knowing what to do. The position is nice but the break very poor, and the dining room is left dirty, and we found at evening breakfast cups still to wash inside the reception. Better to go somewhere else

Stayed for 2 nights at this lovely hotel. It is just opposite Wat Chedi Luang & walking distance to Wat Phra Singh. There is a 7-11 just few steps away. Sunday walking market is very near to the hotel. Basic amenities are provided i.e. mini fridge, hair dryer, shampoo, body gel..etc. All guests are given a shoe locker to keep their shoes. Guests are required to wear slippers in the hotel. Breakfast is not provided but there are complimentary sandwiches, porridge, bananas available from 7.30am to 10.30am. Rice crackers, tea & coffee are provided free for the entire day! It is a great, cozy & clean hotel to stay. The staff are friendly & informative as well. Love the place & definitely will return!

We stayed in this place for three nights and the service is terrible. No one cleaned the room for the first two days, even after we asked them to clean the second day. And stayed in the first floor, it is super loud at night and we can’t fall into sleep. The people works in this hotel couldn’t speak English either, which brings great difficulty for us to talk to them about basic needs. And the breakfast is not good either, everything is gone within half an hour and the staff couldn’t notice to bring in more food until someone ask. Overall, not recommend and we are not happy here

The hotel looks good but apparently I was not lucky... The first bedroom was downstairs close to the breakfast room. When opening the door, it smelled humidity and there was no natural light since the window was facing a wall. They agreed to give me another room. Not better. A palace hotel is under construction just in front of the window and they made a lot of noise day and night... Impossible to sleep during 3 nights! No comment from the hotel manager...
