we slept here for a couple of days, the staff was really friendly, especially the younger employees, the rooms were nice (for the amount we paid, 700 baht if I remember well). Some rooms have a very low water pressure, our favorite rooms were the ones in the back of the restaurant. Lockers are available free of charge, also computers...

Our stay was excellent! We were recommended to the guesthouse from a friend and would recommend it as the place to stay within the Walled City of Chiang Mai. It sits right by the middle north end of the Walled City so it's easy to navigate throughout Chiang Mai. The rooms themselves are a steal - 500 baht for an...

I've stayed here several times over the years. Very friendly staff, wonderful courtyard/atrium for eating or chatting with gorgeous plants and even a little fountain and man-made stream running through it (you might not know it's man-made until you look closely!) Food is good but closes by 6pm. Best for breakfast or lunch. Rooms are a bit rustic, but single...

I stayed at this Guesthouse for 1 night and found it to be really worth the money. Here are some of the things that I found to be good: 1)The location of the guesthouse is really good there is a small stream flowing infront of it just across the road so you can have a walk in the evening or sit...

We stayed here a full week and were very disappointed. Service was horrible - you feel like you're bothering the staff by ordering at their restaurant. Most are extremely unfriendly as well. Rooms are below average as our room had constant geckos in it and holes in our ceiling. You don't get fresh towels daily and it seems all they...

The staff was very helpful, hailing taxis for us, calling tour companies for us, etc. The location was fantastic since it was in the old city and easy enough to walk to the market, etc. The rooms have air conditioning! They provided a baby cot for us on request and didn't seem to mind our toddler running around everywhere. For...

I stayed here for nearly a month with my family when we moved to Chiang Mai and were looking for a house. And we always recommend Mountainview to friends - or random tourists - who pass through town. The staff here are very friendly, helpful, and trustworthy. The place is quiet and peaceful - if you can stay away from...

We booked in September for the festival(s) in November which was more than enough time. The location is good and since the city is walkable, "downtown" is easily accessible on foot. The price was right, even for an air-conditioned room (with a shower with warm water!). The courtyard is lush with trees and nature, and the overall atmosphere is quite...

Granted, our room was just a twin bed fan room in the old building, but it was not too clean, particularly the bathroom. Bedroom windows so old and rickety, they would not close, and mosquito screens on them were not well fitting,a recipe for a bight or several! The noise from non stop traffic could not be shut out also,so no sleep for us then....
