IN SUMMARY Checked-in to the 25-room Rachmankha Hotel for a 4D3N stay and was mesmerized by the design inspirations of one of Thailand's most celebrated architects, Khun Ong-ard Satrabhandhu bringing together tranquil magnificence of ancient Lanna temples and palaces with a convergence of Laotian, Chinese, Thai and Myanmarese art and sculptures. The amazing courtyards, gardens and intimate details feel like... More

It is everything that all the positive reviews have been about. The perfect getaway for someone who needs a beautiful ambience, and oh so different from the cookie cutter chains with their flashy marble foyers and crystal chandeliers. Truly a boutique hotel. Small enough for personal service but large enough to provide all the comforts needed. A beautifully maintained garden,... More

I stayed at the Rachmankha last year and was very impressed. At the end of my stay we decided to enquire about booking the hotel to celebrate my partners birthday for November this year. Since then we have had a lot of email exchange with Wanida. She is always very accommodating and helpful and very quick in responding - we... More

Rachamankha hotel is a little secret haven tucked away inside the ancient old city walls of Chiang Mai. If you are looking to stay somewhere quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of Chiang Mai, then this is your spot, this place really is a haven away from the hot sticky streets outside. The hotel itself is stunning and... More

My second visit to his wonderful hotel. The rooms are simple and roomy and the building feels like a piece of history. Lovely staff and a great bar. Best gin and tonic in Thailand? The local Thai breakfast option was delicious and interesting. Definitely worth a try as it's so different to what we expect from Western breakfast. Pool is... More

The Rachamankha is beautiful hotel, set up in the style of a Chinese estate. The grounds and setting are very serene and architecturally interesting. (After staying in several western chain hotels in Thailand, this was a wonderful counterpoint). Staff is professional and friendly.

Was hesitant at first to stay there as the competition was strong from resort chains; i dont regret it at all! Rooms were furnished very well, amenities in the room were great, staff were friendly, the bed is a bit hard, but after i mentioned it to the reception, it was fixed. It was a superb experience as no kids... More

Rachamankha is more than a boutique hotel – it is an architectural master piece and a very comfortable oasis right in the middle of Chiang Mai`s hustle and bustle. The rooms are nicely decorated in a very tasteful mix of antiques from different parts and time periods of the world. Everything has been done in a very comfortable way. Attention... More

Beautiful abbey turned hotel in the middle of the city. Nice amenities, superb sevice, plus scrumptous breakfasts included. Centrally located with only a 15 minute max walk to wherever you want to go in the old city.
