We stayed here 5 nights and if we will ever return to Chiang Mai we will stay here again. This is a beautifully renovated guesthouse in Lanna style, very well maintained, decorated with wonderful ceramics, wood carvings and artworks. It is a nice and quiet place, yet still in a fairly central location and very close to the old town... More

This little hotel only has 14 rooms. It is so peaceful and friendly. The family that run it are kind and loving. To see the father tend his flowers is a joy to behold. It is full of art and antiques and the pool is crystal clear and great after walking the old town in the heat and humidity. Kind... More

We booked on 5 Jun 2016 to stay from 17 to 21 Dec 2016. Due to some personal reasons, we decided to cancel our booking today (27 Jun). It is then that we realised that Rich Lanna House imposed a cancellation cost of THB 1,971!! At the time of booking, the special conditions only gave the following "CANCELLATION: If cancelled... Charming place at a walking distance from the old city. This hotel is quiet : its a nice traditional taek wood house with carving. Rooms are spacious and just enough decorated.Peaceful atmosphere. Forget the lift, only stairs. Breakfast is good. Staff is young and lovely. Definitely a very good place to stay at a very fair price. I will return

I think the best thing about this hotel is the location and that it has a small pool in case the temperature is too warm. The pool is surrounded by local Windows which might not good for sunbathing. The bed sheets had holes, The room was extremely humid, after visiting a few hotels in Thailand, is the first time I... More

Hotel was clean and tidy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is a little dated but there are some extraordinary wood carvings. The room we had was on the 3rd floor with no lift. The room was clean and very wooden but maybe a little small. The shower was nice though. The hotel does have a... More

The room is a good size, but when we came it was a lot of bugs so we had to start to kill them. The staff is very nice and friendly and the area around has a lot of food and easy to take the taxi. and the swimming pool was nice and the out area also. the breakfast was... More

We booked an upgraded room which is located on the 4th floor (no elevator though) of the hotel. Room is very big and beautifully decorated with wood so very Lanna style. Staff is accommodating and friendly. Nice little pool downstairs just enough to cool down or take a nap after a day of visiting. Bicycles are provided which is very... More

Rich Lanna House is near the North Gate of the old city. The staff are extremely friendly and will attend to all of your requests promptly. The pool is not large but cools you off and most sights are within walking distance. Hotel staff will also flag down taxis, tuk-tuks etc...for you and the price is the same as if... More

This is one of the best kept secrets in Chiang Mai. It's strategically and conveniently located to every service, bar, restaurant imaginable. Upon arrival, the front desk staff was welcoming and wonderful. They were cheerful even though they had to lug our heavy luggage up 3 flights of stairs. The staff were helpful throughout our stay, arranging cabs, interpreting for... More
