First just be aware that your internet booking could be ignored by the hotel if you do so! I think they should improve on this as we were almost not sure to have our booked room when we arrived and I saw people who got refused whereas they book on hostelworld or booking.com Otherwise everything else is nice. Super nice...

I had my own room for about $5, with shared shower. It is very basic, but it was great to have my own space after spending two nights sleeping in the train. The service is great with very friendly staff! There is a common area where it is easy to make friends. Also, location is very good. Would come back...

Yes, you read it right. I stayed in Chiang Mai (Chok Dee Guesthouse) for 2 months (26-Sep to 26-Nov, 2014). So, if you were here around the Oct-Nov 2014 timeframe and you saw an Indian guy around, that was me :) Had a very comfortable stay. Didn't feel like going back. Excerpted from www.sagarsonker.com/travel/thailand/chiang-mai On my website, you'll find more...

It has no beautiful rooms or swimming pool ensure but it is an incredibly welcoming and homely place with a nice dog: "Beer" and his friendly owner "Leo". Any pun intended. Simple and cheap accommodation with bed and fan, toilet outside but some rooms are en suite I believe. Internet is good and there is a green area to relax....

Me and a work colleague stayed here in April 2014 after it was recommended randomly by someone I met. I really liked this place. It was relatively cheap at 500 baht for a double room per night and super clean. The room had a mosquito net which was nice and was large too. The guesthouse itself was nice, the courtyard...

We stayed four nights at the Chok Dee guesthouse in Chiang Mai. The guesthouse is in a lively street with many guesthouses, massage salons and food places. It's close to the centre of Chiang Mai with the night market. The staff was always at our service and helped us with our trips. The beds were a bit hard and the...

Lovely to come back again for three days. As ever, a nice welcome, inexpensive rooms and spotlessly clean. I checked out in the morning and to my surprise when later in the day I was wandering round the Soi 6 village some staff ran up to me advising that I had left my camera, medications and other valuable items in...

Inexpensive guesthouse in an old wooden house. They have WIFI. The guesthouse area was quite quiet in the daytime but in the evenings it was a bit problematic that people kept talking outside in the garden until late instead of doing that at the many bars nearby. So take your earplugs with you if staying here! Shared bathrooms were well...

We found Chok Dee by accident and were lucky to get a room. Throughout our stay people kept coming to reception to be told than none were available. In a walled courtyard off the Soi Chok Dee has created a lovely relaxing outdoor space to relax, have a beer, socialise and chill out. There is a smoking and a non...
