I stayed at the Aksara Heritage for 4 nights and had a great experience! The property is beautiful and feels truly luxurious. The location was great, close to many temples, restaurants and on the Tha Pae Sunday walking street, which turns into a great market on Sunday evenings. The room was comfortable and we hugely appreciated the daily water bottles in our room. We used the hotel laundry service, which was quick and very easy. The pool was beautiful and so refreshing, it really felt like an oasis. We got breakfast at the buffet most days and everything was delicious. We also ordered lunch to the poolside and all of the food was great. The service was good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to everyone!
This hotel is a gem. Great location, Excellent customer service and the room that we’ve stayed was so so beautiful, neat & clean. The whole property’s maintenance was super impressive. They gave attention to each details. The famous Sunday Night Market in Chiang Mai is just happened to be held outside Road of this property. The Chiang Mai gate is just 2 minutes walk from the hotel. Everything were so closed by. Their breakfast was super delicious as well. I highly recommend this place. This was our 5th time in Thailand and this hotel is on my favourite Thai accommodation so far. Thanks to the staff and management for arranging our amazing stay.
Good location, you can walk to Ta Pare Gate by 3 mins / Good service of their staff / only concern are no hotel parking and too close to the temple / before we check out, the owner just come and thank you all guest by herself, very impressive!
We spent 3 nights in this beautiful hotel in April. The hotel is located near Tha Pae gate and just a few steps to the Sunday night market. The hotel is new and clean. Room facilities is very good with balcony overlooking the swimming pool. Swimming pool is small and warm in the afternoon. Staffs are friendly as well. Breakfast is good even there are few guests during pandemic situation in the country. The only downside for me is car parking as there are only 3 parking in the small alley between the hotel and Wat Phan On. However parking on the road in front hotel is possible but be aware of odd and even days. Will definitely be back in next trip to Chiangmai.
we saw this boutique hotel being renovated last year and knew we wanted to stay for New Years Eve 2020-2021. It was first rate all the way. Impeccable! We have stayed at many five star rated hotels and Relaid Chateaux over the years. I felt this was on a par with those. We like small boutique hotels and wish we could find more that are adults only. However, the children who did stay here were Thai kids and very well-behaved. The pool is super clean and actually HEATED! That was wonderful because temperatures are cooler in early January. Breakfast buffet was yummy with made to order eggs. The eggs Benedict are not really authentic, no ham, no English muffin, no real Hollandaise sauce, but they were done perfectly. This is very common in Asia, The only authentic Eggs Benedict we had were at Banyan tree resorts. Restaurants should not call these efforts Eggs Benedict or call it a version of it instead. I am not disappointed because I would not eat the ham anyway, though a real sauce is nice. The rooms are simple and well- appointed. The amenities are nice. The tub was perfect for bubble baths and they sold aromatic bubble bath powder in the lobby. Staff were kind, friendly, and speak very good English. The TV had Nat Geo and BBC news. I enjoy Thai shows and Korean so be prepared for few western programs. The hotel is directly on Sunday walking street which was open for New Year’s Eve and the whole weekend. Prices were slashed during covid. While it was nice to walk freely among the people, I remember how great it was before covid and I miss the crowds as I am sure the vendors miss the income. Back to the hotel, they serve lunch and dinner too. We ordered lunch one day and the food was excellent. The bar drinks were tasty too. There is a pool bar and one late afternoon they had a happy hour but another day they did not. More people who live in Thailand should visit Chiang Mai as it is a completely different historical city with soooo much to see and do. Though we actually live in Chiang Mai every few months since covid, we do staycations to give us a sense of being away. It is a nice change. Walking the old city from this beautiful boutique hotel, the former AUA building, and situated across from the current AUA building, is a perfect way to spend the day and then take in a swim. Oh, the minibar refrigerator is ample and no frozen zones to worry about. When you stay, remember to shower before going in the pool. The shower is to the left of the pool bar and nearly invisible. So many people forget to shower and just jump in. The hotel is too kind to post signs. The hotel lobby has numerous pamphlets for excursions, sight-seeing etc. I recommend elephant sanctuaries, as the animals need us. I know I went off topic, but Chiang Mai is our home here and all around Thailand can enjoy a staycation in this magical country. …
