Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Hotel is in good location on a back street so sleeping is not spoilt by noise from traffic. Staff are helpful and the hotel is kept clean. Room was fine although air conditioning unit above average for noise. Outside pool was freezing but refreshing, but there are only two sunbeds. Breakfast was limited but this could have been due to the hotel being under occupied (due to current circumstances).

We were assigned a room on 2nd floor and it comes with a king size bed which is just nice for me, my husband and my 11 year old son to sleep together. The room was very spacious and we can open up all our luggages together at the same time. Bed and pillows were clean and comfy so I bought 2 pillows from them to bring back home when we check-out. Lightings and aircon can be easily controlled from the bed panel. Love the big bathtub though the water pressure in both bathtub and shower area can be improved. Location is good as it is just 5 mins walk to Thapae Gate / Old City so we can enjoy the serenity without the crowd while not too far away from main actions. There were also a few laundry shops outside the hotel so it is very convenient. Breakfast is average as most items were the same everyday except the main staple. Pool is totally a miss as my son said it was the coldest pool he has ever swimmed in and he can't wait to get out after 5 mins. Staff at frontdesk were mostly friendly especially Faek who is a sweet lady handling our check-out and passed me the pillows I bought from them.

This Was our second stop in Thailand on my Bday trip and the hotel blew us away. It not too big or small and the rooms are nice large and spacious with great amenities . Daily bottle water and oreos in the room, stand up shower and tub, mini fridge which also serves as a mini bar in case you forgot to get beer or soda ( a charge) . free breakfast with ok selections and very polite and helpful staff...also love the location.

All good until checkout. Room was great, breakfast was good. At checkout we were asked to give back the complimentary slippers that were provided in the room. Not really a big deal, but the person on the desk explained that if we took the slippers the value would be deducted from his salary. If this is true, then that is a really poor management policy by the hotel.

Our taxi dropped us off at the hotel which is in a small quiet side street. We arrived early afternoon and were able to check-in immediately. The room was very spacious, clean, a mix of modern and traditional design. A fun element was the extra sliding wall separating the bathroom and room. There was a large shower and bathtub as well. The tv did only have one English channel and would have been nice to have an English movie channel. Luckily the free wifi was strong enough to stream own content on my device. The breakfast offered a limited but satisfying selection of cold and hot items. The staff was always very friendly and attentive! Our favorite part was the spa area, very relaxing, affordable, sweet ladies and such a treat! The pool/bar area was okay but could be more cozy through some styling (plants, art, music). The location is good as it’s only a few minutes walk to supermarket 7eleven, a Michelin-star (Netflix) food stand and the famous square! We spend 4 nights here and would definitely recommend and return as it’s a great and friendly place!

Hotel is located at good location, very big room and clean. Breakfast was boring for 10 days of my stay, especially for European breakfast styles. Air conditioned quite noisy. Quality of massage at the hotel has same level of massage shop out side so do not bother to pay high price at hotel.

Mixed experience at this hotel. Lots of errors by front desk staff - gave us key to a room where another guest was already staying and they were quite upset about us walking into their room. Front desk never informed us that our tour guide had arrived to pick us up for our tour although we had asked and where in the lobby restaurant waiting. The rooms are well appointed and beds comfortable. The pool is like a big shallow bathtub on the side of the street in a weird location and freezing - basically useless. Breakfast is really poor, coffee horrible, limited choices, poor service. The only real plus is the location which is near major attractions, the famous Michelin star roti stand and near the Sunday night market, and in a small street so it's quiet!

We stayed at a Family Room in the hotel for our family of 4. The room consists of 2 separate areas with king sized beds with a bathtub and shower. Room was clean and tidy. Service was warm and staff were friendly!
The hotel is also in a good location located near the airport. (30min)

This is a good mid range boutique style hotel staffed by very friendly and gracious people. The location is excellent ie tucked away in a quiet lane but close to a bustling part of town. The pool is tucked away at the bar and is delightfully cold after a day in the heat and humidity. The bar itself is a nice place to sit with a cold Singha beer and chat to the friendly bartender. The rooms are spacious and have a bit of character. I noticed some prior comments about aircon noise and shower temperature but both were absolutely fine. Breakfast is adequate and can be taken outside. More could be down to promote the restaurant in the evening or up its ambience, but then again there is a lot of competition nearby. Reception staff were always helpful. I am especially grateful to the member of housekeeping who came rushing down from floor 3 with two dress shirts I had forgotten to pack on departure. On previous trips I had stayed at The Anantara and the Shangri-la but I have to say I would be tempted to return to this value for money hotel on a future visit.

De Chai has great location - we visited during Flower Festival and just around corner saw parade. Old city is near. Breakfast was good. Room ok - shower unfortunately not reliable (cold and hot water changed). Massage was quite expensive, but enjoyable in very clean surroundings. Outside pool was freezing though refreshing.

There are numerous "local" laundries within 100 yards+ of the the hotel. I used two different ones. They were both excellent and quick. I suggest Rose's because it is same day service. Turn left outside the hotel and walk about 50 yards give or take.

It does but I’d definitely recommend taking it to the local laundry just across the road which is a fraction of the cost and probably where the hotel take it anyway !
There are more places to choose from in the Chiang Mai area.
