We'd stayed here several times so phoned Oil, the owner, to book before we left for Thailand. Turns out she'd sold it. So sad to see that it's now just a building site with that lovely garden all gone (although it looks like the new owners kept the huge tamarind tree). Big concrete structure in the works, replacing the row...

I only got to meet the owner once when I checked-in on my first day, but I don't think most of other guests did, but the girl who does most of the work there- cleaning and welcoming the guests, is very sweet. She's kinda shy and doesn't put a fake smile on her face, but sweet in her own way....

I have stayed there for 6 nights. Nothing fancy but clean, spacious & spotless room. Wifi at Room No. 1 is well. Big bathroom with hot water in 24 hours. Friendly & helpful staffs. I like to stay a family run guestroom. Feel more comfortable & safe that i can get from Anong House during my stay. Great location. Just...

At 500baht a night you can get cheaper but this is a lovely little oasis. The rooms are big with v nice bathrooms, good aircon. With the shutter doors closed it gets a little dark but the small garden is very pleasant. Nice polite and friendly owners too. They provide mosquito nets which you need to use. Overall very good...

Anong House is a quiet charming little gem inside the moat near the Tha Phae Gate. No bars, no karaoke and minimal traffic noise down this neighbourly little soi (laneway). Four spacious rooms, each with their own bathroom and hot water shower, face a spacious garden area. The showers even have a partial glass wall which protects the rest of...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In 2009, Anong House was built by Oil Tuwanon on the estate of her parents. It was decided from the start that this would be an oasis of green space in the crowded inner moat area of Chiang Mai. There are only four rooms, which allow Oil to stress the personal service and natural beauty of Anong House. A large area of grass has been left where you can enjoy the sunshine and also a wide porch where you can relax in the shade. All rooms are air-conditioned and have en suite bathrooms with hot showers. Free WiFi. Communal refrigerator. ... more   less
