An old teak house, surrounded by trees,, turned into a hotel run by local people. Free on-site Car parking, open air bar and restaurant. Large rooms with free Wi-Fi but sadly no lift. A little sparsely furnished but quite acceptable. Getting therefor the first time can be an ordeal as it has no visible external signage. Turn into Viangbua Road... More

Have been staying at Louts hotel for a couple of times and each time i had enjoy wonderful experiences from the staff. All the staff just make you feel welcome and that's totally a plus for me. The room - basically a simple looking room which is just nice for me as most of the time I am not in... More

I love this hotel. It is tastefully decorated with beautiful antique furniture which reminded me of an ancestral home. The Bougainville Suite is a big and comfortable room with a separate setting area. The staff is well trained, polite and attentive to details. The location is great, just across from the public market that sells all those yummy Thai delicacies. I... More

Our room was big and comfortable. The decor emphasizes wood and detailed craftsmanship. The curtains were hand-made. The staff were a pleasure to interact with. They were knowledgeable and helpful. Breakfast was tasty.

This hotel is overpriced and out of the way. We are a Gay couple and stayed here having checked out the Gay map and reading Chiang Mai scene reviews. The venues although they may seem like many are essentially Go Go bars and there is little in the way of nightlife in this area. The hotel was virtually empty and... More

My wife and I stayed here for part of our honeymoon and we paid extra to stay in an apartment style room. When we arrived and we shown to our room I was a bit disappointed; the pictures on the website do not quite reflect the actual room. It did however grow on me. It was clean and was cleaned... More

This place is vast! It's really a conference hotel. The rooms are large and based on open balcony type corridors that run around a vast atrium—not good for kids but good if you want to wave at someone you know. When I was there there was a conference going on, 1500+ people meant that the lifts and wifi were clogged... More

Dear Sir/Miss You write up is for the Lotus Pang Suan Kaew not our hotel which is called Lotus Hotel. Our hotel is a small boutique hotel of only 14 rooms. We would appreciate if you could remove this comment as it is not related to our specific hotel. More

I decided to stay here on the spur of the moment late at night, being somewhat the worse for booze and not wanting to make the long trip back to my friend's house in a distant suburb. I was glad I did. I had a choice of either a standard room or a superior. I chose the latter, which came... More

We were blown away when we discovered this hidden treasure on a trip to Kad Suan Kaew Mall, and decided to investigate. . After inspecting the rooms we decided to move in the following day. They had quoted us Bt1,800, but we found it on TripAdvisor for only Bt1,200. Most of the cllientel here seem to be on package tours,... More

The Lotus Hotel was the first gay hotel in Chaing Mai and is starting to show its age. The staff are friendly, the garden cafe and bar is a nice place to relax, and the location is on a quiet side street with plenty of cheap Thai food nearby. That said, it is a little outside the city center and... More
