Nice place, but I wouldn't say it was exceptional. It's definitely a ways away from most of the action, which can be good or bad depending on your preference. While it wasn't too much of a hassle to get to most of the attractions in the city, it would have been nice to be in walking distance to things. Since...

Everything. It was lovely. Beautiful building and the staff were excellent. Colonial style boutique hotel with eye for detail Nice rooms where you immediately feel at home. Nice oldtimer Mercedes and bicycle tuk-tuk complementary for short drop offs, really great fun. Very friendly and caring staff.

We stayed at the Ping Nakara for part of our honeymoon. First off, being picked up by their vintage Mercedes was an so easy and a great starting off experience. The pick-up went very smoothly. The hotel itself is about 10 minutes walk from the night markets in the city center, which we enjoyed. It was nice being close, but...

The thing that drew us to the Ping Nakara (apart from the charming name) is the look of the building - the old colonial style drew us in. When we got the hotel, and indeed throughout our stay, we were very pleased with the level of customer service. The staff were very friendly and always willing to help out. For...

Such a beautiful place! Lovely staff who went out of their way to offer a shower in the spa when we had already checked out and came back to get our bags after a day with elephants. Colonial decor--white with dark wood and a terrific pool. I would definitely recommend their delicious breakfast..made to order waffles!

Very beautiful and quiet boutique hotel. We came to Chiang Mai for Elephant Nature Park (which I recommend 100x plus!) but we need a hotel for one night. Ping Nakara was beautiful, quiet, and very reasonable in price. There is a lovely free breakfast buffet that had many options -- and delicious food. Ping Nakara is definitely not in the...

My girlfriend and I visited this hotel on a short 3 day stopover in Chiang Mai. The hotel is located along the river just outside the old city centre and close to the night market. It is a quiet location and perfect if you want to relax and enjoy the pool and avoid the hoardes of backpackers and younger party...

very chilled out comfortable boutique hotel with great service. Breakfast buffet included in price was a big plus and the location is a short walk to night market food and shopping and is walkable to get into the old town (although maybe not in the heat). Pool was very relaxing as were the other common areas. I would come again!...

This is the second time we have stayed at the Ping Nakara and hopefully there will be more occasions in the future. As others have said the service from all of the staff is faultless, the rooms and facilities are excellent and it's really is a lovely hotel in which you can just relax and unwind. Couldn't recommend it more...

We LOVED this hotel. First of all, lesser rooms is better. It's very quiet yet so close to activities! The location is excellent - walking distance to the night bazaar and restaurants. The hotel staff are lovely and welcoming. Housekeeping is to a very high standard. Snacks and water are topped up daily in the room and turn down occurs...
