We had planned to stay at Joy's House (which is outside of the Chiang Mai city) for 4 days, and another 3 days in the Old City. We liked Joy's House so much that we extended our stay to cover the entire duration of 7 days in Chiang Mai. The Good: - Transportation to and from the airport was included...

Sawas dee kah, thank you for your honest review about our guesthouse. We are happy that you liked your stay and extended it. However it's very important for us that we know how we can develop our management, therefor we read your "Not-So-Goods" with interrest. First of all please let us explane that Joy's House is Thai/German owned and managed....

My husband and I went to Chiang Mai for 4 nights we planed to stay in Joy's House for 2nights and in the old city for another 2. We arrived Chiang Mai early morning by train and there was already a girl from Joy's House waiting for us. It's took us about 20mins drive from the train station to Joy's...

We travelled all around Thailand, this spring, and this was the best place to be, from Ko Tao, to Chiang Rai. If you want to experience what it is like to be included in an authentic family, with a perfect quality of service and unforgettable smiles and laughters of the intelligent and sensible children living there, this guesthouse is the...

After all i read on joy's house, I was so excited to stay there, i just couldn't wait .. and i just have to say i was disappointed. Even though everyone was nice to us, nothing horrible happened, far from that, i didn't find the sincerity I was expecting. First, all the activities there are very expensive and we felt...

Dear Khun Sylvie, we feel very sorry about your feelings and especially that we were not able to make you feel warmheartedly welcome and close with our family. We will try to improve to look more in detail - because we could not catch your disappointed feelings when you stayed with us. For the price to visit our childrens aid...

I chose to stay at Joy's House for the last 3 nights of an 8 month trip for some peace of mind and I was not disappointed. The moment you pass through the gates, tranquility reigned supreme. It's a little way out of Chiang Mai but I liked that about it because it made it more of a haven. I...

Joy's House and the Foundation is doing great things for kids. It is nice to stay, get involved with the activities and know your tourist $ are directly supporting a good cause. The only negative is the pressure we were made to feel to participate in Joy's programs.

Joy's House was exactly that...an absolute joy. Not only is the location and rooms beautiful, but the people provide the local touch of Thailand that makes the stay really special. Not only were the staff helpful and personable, but the breakfast was fantastic - both the food and the breakfast area. We also took the cooking class offered by Joy's...

Stayed at Joy's House for 4 days in February and had a lovely experience. The property is just outside of the city, approximately a 10 minute taxi ride off a major ring road. Taxi's cost approximately 200-300baht each way (for 2 people) so it was affordable. The room was immaculate, the bathroom was huge. Nice, clean shower. The room came...
