While the location is fairly good as it is easily accessible by taxi and only 15 minutes from airport and five minutes to Chinatown where good food and markets are located, the hotel needs a little upgrade, especially the bathrooms. It is a challenge to squeeze through the glass box to have a shower and given the short distance to the bath room door, water could easily escape to the room. The lighting of the entire room is quite dim although during day time when the curtains are drawn open, the room is bright. Sound insulation is not good as noises from the performance at the fake old city wall could be hearer quite clearly. On the whole, short stay should be fine, except that don’t count on the breakfast provided - only tri d one out of four days .
We stayed at Hotel M ChaingMai. This hotel is at excellent location an is value for Money. Rooma are little small but we'll appointed and clean. Breakfast Manu is limited but good. Staff is very good and helpful.
Stayed for six nights. The room is nice and clean and has everything you need and the team of polite staffs are happy to help you with information you needed. It's easy to get around too. Food, bars, shopping or cultural sites. I had nice stay here. Thanksssss.
Let's start with something positive: the M Hotel enjoys a nice location adjacent to the old city walls. Every imaginable convenience is right outside the entrance. The unheated pool was pleasant and the adjacent exercise room was OK. But this is an older building so be prepared for a worn lobby & carpets, and a single elevator. The room was very sparsely furnished with a thin hard mattress. Windows were locked and couldn't be opened for fresh air. Breakfast was adequate.
Wonderful location at the east gate, which can lead to a bit of traffic noise outside. They offer an airport pick up which worked really well. They have a nice pool. Bedrooms are a bit drab but perfectly clean and functional. The one thing that would really elevate this hotel is a better breakfast. The hot food is never hot, not even warm and the breakfast is not really geared for western tastes.
It was very cool staying in Old Town. Easy walking distance to many shops and restaurants or quick access to taxis and tuk-tuks for further travel. Staff was very friendly and rooms were nice and clean. The beds were very uncomfortable, however, which is our only complaint! Great stay at Hotel M!
Nice place to stay- we had free airport pick up and drop off, free breakfast, fridge, daily water bottles and WiFi. Hotel is dated but it met our needs. Sunday Night Market and evenings it was very loud with music and people. WiFi was very slow. Shower:bath was very sketchy bordering on dangerous getting in and out. Go out the back door by parking garage to find a little alley with food places, great cheap massage and laundry (drop off with same or next day pick up-very cheap and good). Front desk was helpful with passable English. Outside the front door was tons to do- massage, food, ATMs, 7-11, Muay Thai stadium- everything you’d want within a 5 minute walk. We would definitely go back!
Spent 2 nights at Hotel M in Chiangmai and I was very pleased. The staffs speak good English and very helpful. The room was very clean and the location is just great. The breakfast was good but of course do not expect a 5 star hotel spread. We could travel to many temples by foot and lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. For Burger King fans, you will be delighted to know that it is 24 hrs and just beside the hotel. For the price that we have paid, I will strongly recommend for those who are visiting Chiangmai. P. S. They provide complementary airport pick up to and fro...
Chosen this Hotel M caused of the location. Housekeeping staffs are ready to clean the room since around 7:30 Am but they never ever change the bed linen for 4 nights. Breakfast is just basic. Wi-fi not working in the rooms, should go to lobby for better connection. But all staffs are very polite and ready to assist.
As said by others, the location and service are the best things about this hotel. The breakfast has hard and soft boiled eggs, fried eggs, dry cerals, sausage, sliced chicken breast, mixed Chinese vegies, rice, bread, sliced watermellon and pineapple, milk, coffee and juice. There is no exercise room, but a chest deep pool that appears clean and serene, but within view from the eating area. I managed only two free–style strokes before reversing direction. The room was neat, clean and quiet, although showing signs of wear.
