I dislike writing negative comments --- unless it's truly called for -- and SK House really deserves to be notified of its poor hospitality. True, this is a budget budget hotel so really I am only paying for the roof and the mattress, however I believe that eye contact and respectful behavior should not have to be paid for... the...

I took a pack that include SK hotel (elephants,trekk....) the first nite in the hotel was ok, just a bad smelling, but the nite after the trekking I got other room, it was dirty, stinky and I found bedbugs in the room. Also the staff really unfriendly, special one of the girl in the front desk. there are many other...

Found this place by chance after a verrrryyy long trip from Siem Reap to Chiang Mai. Free transportation from the train station and a cheap room seemed like it would be a steal, so we went with it. The room looked nice and the place does have a nice feel to it; a good pool and lots of interesting Thai...

Unfriendly staff, laundry destroyed my shirts! When I complained they started insulting me. The room was absolutely dirty! The whole house smelled like urin, it was disgusting. Within our four weeks stay in Thailand we've seen many cheap hotels. But SK house is the worst place we've been to.

We found this place by chance as we got off the night train from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. It was very early in the morning and we would of slept on a park bench if nothing came up. A tour seller talked us into booking a jungle trek and we managed to get station transfers and rooms. Two persons sharing...

When we first showed up the staff were friendly enough, the room was 250 baht / night which was good for a double fan room but it pretty much stopped there. After the first night we were met with extremely unfriendly staff at the front desk who ignored us and grumbled when checking out and grumbled when we asked to...

We arrived to the hotel in late March and stayed for 8 nights. The hotel is quite nice with it's inner section and pool. The rooms were no more than OK but for 150baht/night it was worth the money. BUT the staff! If the staff was OK this would be a guest house to recommend - but this was not...

The hotel itself, the cleanliness, the pool and the rooms were decent. The only reason for the low rating the horrible staff. You most certainly do not feel welcome here. The tourist information in the front lobby attacked us and try to sell their day trips. We heard from other guests that this tourist agency was horrible so we chose...

This guest house has some very good features - in particular a good swimming pool and a series of pleasant courtyards that are decorated with Thai carvings and sculpture. The location is also very convenient, in a quiet lane with many small backpacker guest houses, cafes and bars. Despite its good features, I can't rate it as more than average....

This place is perfect for backpackers. It provides all the essential necessities plus the added bonus of clean private rooms and bathrooms, hot water, towels, and an awesome pool and garden/chill out area with tons of sweet artwork. Its in a great social area with a few bars and some awesome restaurants. With all these great things the rooms are...
