Hotel's Favourite
Great hotel all round. The staff were very welcoming, you needed anything and they would look into it for you. The room wzs bif enough, kept clean everyday. Bottle of water and biscuits available free of charge. Even the beer was only 50 bhat. Breakfast was good. Loved the variety, definitely not the same thing everdyday. Loved it.
Location was great. Walking distance to restaurants, street food, Sunday market is a must. There is roti being sold a few mins away and they the best we ever had in Thailand. She was awarded bib gourmet from Michelin from the past few years. You cannot NOT try it if you are around. She works night time only. There is a tourist information booth off the main street too where we booked our activities.
For that price range, look no further.

Just checked out and already miss it. Pros-Friendly staff, newer small hotel, super clean, gym, small pool and great breakfast selection. Location was great because you are close enough to center to walk and close enough to airport and other locations to catch tuk tuk or rent scooters. Night market, clean massage places close by. All the taxis charged between 100 and 180 for travel to airport, zoo and crossfit box. Breakfast is brought to your room based on your selection the night before or eat downstairs at time you select. Took coffee to go after breakfast on the morning of departure. Staff secured ride to the airport for us. Free bottles of water on the daily. Cons none. We would definitely stay again!

The hotel is beautiful, modern, comfortable and friendly. The rooms are very large and the property itself is stunning. Improvements: The floors in the bedroom need to be mopped more often, my feet were filthy walking around the room. The stand up shower and bathroom sink needs help. Although beautiful, its not practical. You will spill water everywhere. The bowl itself is designed to splatter and the shower leaked water due to the shallow depth. Otherwise, my stay was amazing and the staff was extremely helpful in booking tours and pleasant.

My Korean wife and I have eaten here several times during our last ten-day trip to Chiangmai. The food ingredients are so fresh and properly prepared. The proportions are generous and the pricing is very reasonable. Since the restaurant is part of a back ally hotel, the restaurant is almost hidden. So few people are present. The waiting staff are extremely professional. The menu is a mixture of Thai and western. Entrees if both types are excellent. We have sampled many restaurants over the years in Chiangmai and this hidden gem is one of the very best.

De Chai the Deco was absolutely accomodating and customer service-centered to the core. My husband and I ended up staying at DeChai last minute as we were not pleased with our hotel reservation made through Expedia. De Chai turned our sour experience into an absolute delight. They greeted us and upgraded out room for us as we were on our honeymoon. They called places up for us like restaurants, pizza delivery and even dropped off a little welcome cocktail with snacks complimentary for us. Everyone at the Hotel is so friendly. Gym, rooms, pool, lobby everything is well maintained. The front desk staff called taxis for us, provided suggestions and pretty much assisted with anything needed. The breakfast at the hotel was amazing with great selection and we thoroughly enjoyed our eggs. The lady making eggs was fantastic. We would definitely stay here again!

Great hotel, in a great location. Staff are helpful and friendly. We’re staying on a b&b deal, even though breakfast is limited on choice, what they have is of good quality and very tasty. Location is great, set back up a small road, but a short walk to the Tha Phae Gate. Easy access to shops, restaurants and bars.

The location of this hotel is 10/10. We were able to walk to the Sunday night market and celebrate new year at thae pae gate without the hassle of worrying about transportation. Everything was in walking distance.
The gym is only open from 7am-8pm and is the smallest little gym ever. No aC either. But that’s not a deal breaker. The shower structure is awful and the whole floor would be wet each time anyone showered. The staff is what made it really disappointing. They were unfriendly and never greeted us. They were always on their phones and looked annoyed when I asked them questions. Breakfast was amazing though. 3.5/5 for me. I would probably try a different hotel next time since there were many hotels near de chai. But overall not a bad experience. Just wish staff were more engaging and friendly.

I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights with my parents, and I had a pretty enjoyable experience. The Wi-Fi was a little iffy, as the device limit was relatively low, and we had to keep logging on and off, but that was not really that much of an issue, more of a slight annoyance. The hotel restaurant served some really good food, and the breakfast buffet was quite large with a good mix of Asian and Western food. The room was comfortable and had all of the amenities we needed. The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect! It's located off the busy roads, but very close to Thapae Gate which I found to be the center of a lot of things. Plus, a little added bonus, they put down some towels in the lobby as Songkran was going on towards the end of the trip, which was pretty good after I'd gotten quite wet walking around.
This is not against the hotel, but there were some children running around the hotel on one of the days we were there, causing a lot of noise. I do believe they sorted it out, but it made staying in the room less than desirable. Continuing on the noise factor, our room was right above the pool, which also added some noise coming from there.

I wanted to give this hotel a 4 star rating but unfortunately there were just too many small downfalls.
The Pros
The hotel is nice and new and modern. The rooms are great, clean, modern, well appointed and spacious.
The location is also great, with only a 5-10 minute walks to all the main streets with shops, restaurants etc...
The Cons
The Wi-Fi dropped out when you left the room.... so every time we re-entered the room we had to sign in again.
The hotel doesnt have any green tea (at all). Very strange for a hotel in Asia.
The TV has no English / International channels. Not even a news channel !
The evening meal restaurant quality was fine however it is up to 4 times more expensive than a restaurant on the street outside! In my opinion this is just way over the top. Perhaps this is the reason the restaurant was completely empty every night.
The staff were friendly but mostly just hanging around on their phones and not very attentive.
In summary this is a great hotel with great potential but just has room for improvement.

There is no fee if you had already booked for an additional guest and inform the staff at your check-in. However, on your guest's arrival, her ID card or passport need to be present to the staff at front desk due to the security reason.
Breakfast is Buffet American Breakfast and some Thai dishes.
Hello,
Yes the hotel has a spa and it is very nice. I'm sure you can arrange a masseuse to come to your room as well if you want however the spa itself is very enjoyable.
Yes ! Bathroom is 👍🏻
Yes I agree there is sun in the morning in the pool. There are only 4 sunbeds and the pool is fairly small. It's a quaint L shaped pool and the overflow fountain and lights are switched on when the pool is used..which isn't often. However the staff are great and will help with any issue and the bar is just next to the pool so drinks can be served as required.
