I would describe this hotel as spectacular, cozy and tranquil. It is located by the river and out of the square of Chiang Mai city center. Chiang Mai is small so the city center can be reached on foot as well but it takes more than half an hour. The hotel is very close to one end of a night market as well. Crossing the night market you are almost at the East side of the city center square. By tuktuk to and from the city center, we always paid 100 Bahts. I know negotiating, you can get a better price but 100 Bahts seems to be the standard flat rate for tourist. The hotel is in a side street and by the river, so noise is not a problem. We only heard a kind of music or announcement calling for praying from a temple one morning. It lasted few seconds but enough to wake me up.
This is a boutique hotel, with not many rooms and the feeling of the whole place was tranquility and peace. The resort was build in a heritage style with most of the rooms in 2 floors. The lower floor rooms had direct access to the swimming pool and the upper ones are accesible by stairs. All the rooms have a small balcony facing the pool area. The room we were was not very big but very nice and decorated with taste in a colonial or heritage style. Good and plenty of amenities in the bathroom, as well as plenty of bottled water in the room. The hotel had a turndown service every night where we were given a different small gift each time. The whole place, including the rooms and common areas were very clean and well maintained. But special mention to the pool area and restaurant. They are spectacular, specially when iluminated. The hotel has only one restaurant used for breakfast and meals. The setting is beautiful and the service and food selection were very good.
The staff was very nice and helpful and we had a wonderful stay here.

We spent 2 nights in that amazing place and really enjoyed every moment as a short introduction. It was our first stay there and it was highly recommended by close friends, so we booked our stay here. The boutique resort located on the river is very peaceful and quiet, a real oasis to kick back and chill. The place is in immaculate condition and very well maintained. The old structure looks brand new and offers good size rooms in a very appealing style. The rooms are clean, nicely decorated, have amazing bathrooms, ours had a nice bathtub and a shower what was a nice thing to have. The groud level floors have verandas with 2 chairs, that I liked a lot to sit there and read or just to relax. A good size swimming pool that was in the spotless condition is the centerpiece of the 2 story property. Another highlight is the restaurant that served buffet breakfast with a good selection of Asian and western dishes and served lunch and dinner ala carte. We had several meals there and it was all very delicious no need to venture out and look for great food its just available at the property, give it a try you will love it. The rooftop terrace on top of the restaurant is a great spot for an evening drink before or after dinner and the cocktails were well mixed and delicious as well. A big thumbs up for the team that runs and services the hotel, everyone was super helpful friendly, constantly smiling and trying to make us feel comfortable! We truly enjoyed our stay and we will be back for sure!

Let me start by saying "wow"! Na Nirand exceeded our expectations in every way. The grounds, room, service, food, and atmosphere were impeccable. We only spent 3 days in Chiang Mai, and as soon as we arrived, we immediately regretted not booking an entire week at Na Nirand just to lounge by the pool and enjoy the resort more. The staff were incredibly professional, and they elevated our experience. We were on a 2 week trip for our honeymoon, and they welcomed us with a beautiful and romantic room which encompassed the charm of Chiang Mai. The location of the resort was just a short walk or bike ride away from all of the action in town. They had bikes available at the resort to take a cruise around town! But our favorite aspect by far was the pool. You're based in the middle of a city, yet you feel like you're in a tropical paradise as you lounge poolside. They have great happy hour specials which make you not want to leave the sunshine for hours. We wish we could already go back! Do not hesitate - book at Na Nirand!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was perfect. The grounds are beautiful to chill around during the day with an amazing pool for lounging. It's also very central and close to everything. Perfect balance of relaxing and active with the lively city just steps outside of the this zen sanctuary. The staff is absolutely incredible. We arrived early in the morning after 24 hours of travel and the staff gave us the spa for a few hours to shower and freshen up. They showed us around the grounds and ensured we were taken care of while we waited for our room and rushed to check us in early. It is very unique and well maintained. The rooms are spacious and clean.The breakfast buffet is included and absolutely amazing. 10/10 all around.

In 2019, my partner and I were exploring Chiang Mai and had decided to hold our wedding there. The next thing that had to be decided was the venue. After visiting a few resorts, we stumbled upon this gem of a place. The property is simply epic and the friendly nature of the staff is something we had not experienced ever. Fast forward to Feb 22 - 2020, we celebrated our big day here with our loved ones. We could not have asked for anything better. Every single person who attended were simply amazed by how the arrangements were taken care of flawlessly. My wife and I are grateful to every single staff member for making our day extra special. Special thanks to Khun Champoo and her team for all their hard work and patience!
The room provided as part of our wedding package was also lovely. The breakfast spread was marvelous.
Once again, if anyone would like to hold a wedding or a party to celebrate an occasion in a beautiful and tranquil place, this is your ideal resort! Also, if you are generally holidaying and are looking for a relaxed and elegant place to stay, I would recommend Na Nirand given it is not too far from most of the things and places to see in Chiang Mai!

We were blown away as soon as we walked into Na Nirand's office/front desk, our first glimpse of the incredible beauty of this resort. The office made us think of a tea plantation in an old movie - all white with dark, carved wood, ceiling fans, intricate trims, and beautiful furnishings. Our room was just as lovely, with gorgeous Asian touches and the anniversary surprise of a decorated bed. All of this was matched only by their wonderful personnel whose goal was to make our stay perfect. Robert, who seemed to be everywhere, is a real asset to Na Nirand; he is personable, knows the area and was able to direct us to dining and shopping, and demonstrated a desire to make our time at the resort the best that it could be.
We enjoyed that Na Nirand's location, while within an easy walk to shopping and restaurants, felt secluded and was incredibly tranquil. The pool, pool bar, and restaurant, were all wonderful. The restaurant served an excellent buffet each morning, and a creative menu each evening. The sole area that we saw as a deficit was that there are only 6 pool lounge chairs, plus 4 more in the water for the entire resort. The 6 lounge chairs were typically taken by 10AM, making the pool essentially unusable for other guests.

A beautiful boutique hotel hidden in a quiet street. I like the location because you don’t get noise from the street. Chiangmai in General is not a big city, so wherever you stay it won’t be too far from where you want to go. Once you step into the hotel, you will be amazed by the entire environment. Beautiful pool, beautiful houses, and beautiful rooms. The service may be the best in Chiangmai. The girls at front desk are very friendly, professional, and attentive. Ms. Art speaks perfect English that makes our stay more enjoyable. Breakfast is delicious and varieties. The only thing needs to be addressed is the bed frame in the room. It is a wooden frame with sharp corners. The mattress sits on top of the frame but not fully cover the corner of the frame. So be careful when moving around the room, otherwise it is easy to get hit on your legs. Overall, I love this hotel. I will definitely come back next time back to Chiangmai. You won’t be disappointed.

Na Nirand was a perfect choice for our three night stay in Chiang Mai! We stayed in the Colonial House, which only has four rooms with a private access and private pool. It was a very romantic ambiance. We stayed in the Burmese room and it was decorated beautifully. We had turn down service every night and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast buffet had many delicious options, the eggs made to order and fresh jams and juices were my favorites! We had afternoon tea ordered to our room and they set it up on the patio so we can enjoy the view. We could not stop eating the treats! The resort had many spa promotions during our stay so we took advantage. The spa can accommodate two guests at a time so it’s a very private experience. We did the body scrub, aromatherapy, and Thai massages. Easily, these were the best massages we’ve had!

I brought my son in for a special lunch today as he missed our family dinner at Le-Crystal last night. He ordered the best steak on the menu which was a B1,400 peice of meat. Unfortunately it was delivered medium well to well instead of the 'medium rare' that was ordered. We did not want to cause a fuss nor get the chef nor waiter into trouble so instead of sending it back for another he took it as it came. However, it was only right that this mistake should be pointed out which I duly did. It was checked and the waiter then went away to see the chef about this. We never heard back from him, no explanation, no apology, nothing. At the very least an apology would have been OK but instead of that they still thought it was OK to charge the full srvice fee on the entire meal (B2,400+) I left there feeling deflated and disappointed - the food is fine but that is a crap service that a good restaurant would have fixed. I will never go back.

This middle size resort on the river Ping has a nice layout with two wings of rooms around a long pool, at the end of which a huge majestic tree is towering. Reception and staff are very friendly and helpful. The room is spacious, elegant and has all one needs. The restaurant has a nice menu and the food is very good. Breakfast is both buffet and dishes made to order, all more than you can eat. One caveat: the temple next door has cocks that make themselves heard at 5.30 am and also during the day. When woken up you'd prefer to see them on the grill or in the oven. But else, a perfect retreat.

The buffet is pretty extensive with a lot of good options for both a Western and Thai style breakfast. We never went hungry ;-) I especially loved the fresh honey right off the honeycomb.
There are more places to choose from in the Chiang Mai area.
