The Chiang Mai Marriott Hotel garners accolades for its newly updated gym, expansive pool area, and a variety of dining options, despite some guest suggestions for an enhanced pool experience. The staff's professionalism and warm hospitality frequently receive high marks, contributing to the hotel's commendable service reputation. While the cost after renovations raises some eyebrows, many guests appreciate the central location near key attractions. The hotel's rooms are often noted for their space, cleanliness, and modern amenities. However, opinions on the room size relative to cost do vary. Guests have called out the stylish and modern atmosphere that defines the hotel's ambiance.

Had the best massage of my life in this hotel (and it’s free! They had a promotion package of staying 2+ night and receive a free 90 massage upon your choose of style). Every single staff here is very professional and friendly, from the concierge to the cleaning staff. And the concierge is super helpful in providing local travel tips. However, I would recommend travelers to check out deals on Klook/KKday before booking taxis to go to faraway locations like the elephant site, zip lining, and the famous double dragon temple. It’s much cheaper on klook/kkday compare with getting a taxi/Grab (Thai version of Uber) yourself

We stayed here for four days and absolutely loved it. The staff was amazing with the concierge team as the highlight! They were all so helpful with requests and we couldn’t be happier with our experience.
The price for the hotel feels like you’re getting a huge bargain for what you get, the rooms are nicely sized with generous bathrooms. The pool is absolutely stunning and so relaxing.
We didn’t add breakfast to our room rate, but if you think you’ll be at the hotel each morning, I would add it! The days we had breakfast down there were wonderful.

This was our second stay at the Le Meridien Chiang Mai. The location of the hotel is next to the Night Market and an easy walk to some very nice restaurants such as Whole Earth and River Market. Our room was small but comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. The room could have used a few drawers and an upgrade as the carpet was stained and the furniture was scratched (the reason for the very good rather tha excellent rating). The breakfast buffet had a great variety of foods. The concierge arranged for Saert to drive us to the beautiful Royal Park Rajapruek. The old city is a quick 100 Baht tuk-tuk ride or you can walk there pretty easily. We quite enjoyed the ruby fish at Cooking Love 1 Restaurant.

Our stay at the Le Meridian Chang Mai provided a great location to walk I to old town as well as experience the many night markets and area activities. However the hotel itself needs some renovation. The rooms feel tired, the pool was small and crowded and the M Club level is a joke with barley any appetizers set out at 6 pm and prior to that nothin g but fruit and cake. The staff is kind but needs training in customer service for sure. And finally the hotel forced us into paying 5909 bht per person for a New Years party and it was so lacking. The food looked plentiful but was not great choices and they did not have an open bar or a pay bar for a New Years party!!! Big mistake. And trying to get a drink was like pulling teeth.... not a good service move after paying so much!!!

Dear bethphuth, Thank you for your review and for sharing your feedback here. I am glad to hear that you liked our central location and managed to experience the night markets around us. I have noted on your feedback with regards to the rooms and crowded pool area. We are presently working on some refurbishment plans and ideally some of our public spaces and rooms will be going in for some soft refurbishment soon. The hotel was experiencing high occupancy towards the year end hence we would have more guests enjoying the pool with its amazing views of Doi Suthep. I have also noted on your feedback about our Club Lounge and associates. Please accept my sincere apologies for your experience which is not the norm as our team is normally recognized by our guests for being able to provide excellent service and a plentiful selection Hors d ’Oeuvres from 1800 to 2000 hours. Prior to that, the Club would have light snacks. I have shared your experience with the team and they are extremely embarrassed by their lapses and for not being able to provide you the experience that we always strive for. I also apologize that your New Year Gala experience with us did not align with your expectations. The hotel has a compulsory New Year’s Eve dinner yearly and we do get very positive feedback from our guests. We had bars located within the ballroom during the dinner with the option of a free flow drink package or pay by consumption, and also at the after party venue in the garden, similarly the beverage options were also displayed on each table. I apologize if this was not made clear when you arrived for dinner. Thank you for your feedback and I hope you will not let this experience mar your impression of our hotel. Please do write to me directly for your next visit at pamela.ong@lemeridien.com and allow me the opportunity to take care of all details of your stay. Sincere regards, Pamela Pamela Ong Hotel Manager

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay! This hotel is beautiful, clean, comfortable and has the most amazing staff. We have taken full advantage of the concierge to recommend restaurants and book a massage at a nearby spa. The staff is on point. They recommended Lemon Grass, a local restaurant, and it had the best Thai food in Chiang Mai. They also recommended River Front market, a delicious restaurant right on the river.

I loved my stay! The rooms are comfortable, modern and the bathroom has an overhead shower and hand held option. Everything was cleaned daily with a fresh replenishment of towels and toiletries. Our beds were nicely made each day when we returned. We never needed to call the front desk for towels or anything else.

I will definitely be returning to Le Meridien! This place is fantastic.

I've stayed here a few times before but it's been a few years. This was my best stay yet! The Night Bazaar Area is very quiet now and not many places there are open at the moment, but the hotel staff consistently went above and beyond throughout my stay to make it perfect.

Staff service is truly excellent from the front door to the front desk, all the F&B staff and housekeeping too. I know the hotel was closed for awhile as many others nearby still are. The staff are clearly happy to be working again and serving guests, and it shows in the 5+ star service.

The main all-day restaurant was closed during my stay, but the hotel's Favola Italian restaurant (my favorite restaurant in Chiang Mai) was open for breakfast, lunch and dinner offering an expanded menu .

Complimentary parking is convenient too in the underground garage which can be accessed without having to go out in the elements when it is raining.

Amazing stay. To preface I would describe myself as a low key world traveler, who enjoys eating at local (non touristy restaurants or street food but like staying at comfortable places with no mosquitos) Took a ladies only trip and stayed in the executive suite. Large space, one side with king bed and long sofa and other side with couch and living space. Separate enclosed Bathroom/ sink and then also double sink, amazing shower and large tub.
Had drinks at the lobby bar daily in the evening. Breakfast was high quality with numerous choices for American/European and Asian palate. Fresh almond croissants, cappuccino, fruit shots with ginger. General manager Nam was incredibly personable and looked after our every need during our stay. She made our stay exceptional. The home made chocolates made on site are incredible. So good we bought 2 boxes to bring home ! I was training for a running race so enjoyed the large work out room with excellent treadmills and weights.
We were minutes away from the night market and 15 minutes walk from Sunday night market. Great massages everywhere close by on the street for cheap 300 baht or could use the spa at the hotel. Would stay again

The hotel staff are very attentive and helpful, Khun Aui who checked me in was incredibly helpful and even checked on us after our first night during a 3 night stay. He also facilitated a change of room to better accommodate our needs.
The hotel is centrally located and easily access pretty much everything including the night bazaar despite that Covid has shrunk the size of the market as many Vendors seem to be closed.
Breakfast was great and staff helped at every turn, the hotel also practices strict Covid rules which was reassuring.
I would definitely stay here again during my next visit.

Great location, lots of food around and the night market is a shot walk away. Checking in was fast and service was good. The hotel is well maintained and the rooms are not new but in good condition. There are lots of power points at the desk for the modern traveller but none by the bedside. The 4th floor pool side is a nice place to be and the gym is well equipped. There is a business center on the 3rd floor with computers and printers if you need to get work done.

I booked the hotel transfer when I landed at Chiang Mai airport for 600baht for the convenience but there are counters at the airport which offer a similar transfer for 150baht.

The club lounge on the 21st floor has a very picturesque view of the city. Evening cocktails saw a small buffet of food and deserts. I drank 2 beers and when I wanted to order a 3rd the waiter politely told me that the complimentary hour has passed and I had to pay for the next beer. It would have been nice for them to let me know that I had reached last orders like the rest of the hotels I had visited.

Overall it's a good hotel but they have priced themselves rather high considering the competition in Chiang Mai.

Dear Dustbusters, Thank you for your review and I am glad to hear that you liked our central location and managed to experience the night markets around us. Our hotel is extremely well located within just a 10 minutes’ walk from the Old City and near the very popular Night Market of Chiang Mai. Our centralized location makes it ideal to explore and discover Chiang Mai and is very popular with all travelers from different parts of the world who stay with us and enjoy our services as well as use our hotel to experience Chiang Mai in its entirety. Depending on the seasonality, this would impact the hotel pricing however we always try and ensure our pricing is comparable and competitive. We are presently working on some refurbishment plans and ideally some of our public spaces and rooms will be going in for some soft refurbishment soon. This will help to address some of your feedback with regards to the power points by the bedside. I have shared your feedback on proactively informing our guests about the last orders at the lounge. Rest assured the team has noted your feedback and we will make improvements. I would also like to clarify that the hotel transfer is for a Honda CR-V AWD with personalized meet and greet at the airport versus the airport counters which offer a standard taxi service to the hotel. Thank you once again for your very constructive feedback. We will continue to make improvements to be able to deliver efficient and flawless service to all our guests. Please do write to me at pamela.ong@lemeridien.com when travelling to Chiang Mai again and I will make sure our team ensures you have an excellent experience at our hotel. Sincere regards, Pamela Pamela Ong Hotel Manager

My first time with Le meridian Chiang Mai during covid 19

From entrance, thank you bellman who assists us a luggage with warm welcome and temperature check to ensure body temperature is not higher than 37c

Check- in smooth as silk with a warm welcome from check in staff to Manager on duty who comes to greet and welcome us.

Room was nice upgrade to Suite with a nice decoration and welcome fruit. I’m so in love with bathtub and a view from shower room. Toilet and shower room super big. Bed is comfortable.

Lounge is temporary moved to the restaurant on the lobby floor with a light snack and soft drink or mocktail or cocktail with a nice service from staff.

Breakfast in room is so good. Thai food is nice especially Phad Thai.

Yes they do. During my stay (I am a Titanium member), I get free breakfast for 2 plus 2 more guests; the lounge was under renovation so they carved out a section in the breakfast area for the members (not as nice and comfortable as expected) so hopefully the lounge is done by now.
