We stayed at Vanilla Place for 6 nights from the 4th to the 10th August 2010, and it was absolutely fabulous. Mr Kem and his staff are the nicest people we met in Thailand, and it really does make your trip so much more comfortable when you are looked after by people who genuinely care! Mr Kem helped to organise...

Vanilla Place is a family run, nice and cosy guest house. We decided to stay there due to the comments on trip advisor and we do not regret it at all. The owners and staff are very friendly. They also offer to arrange different types of tours and activities for your stay. To add to credit it is situated at...

We stayed at the Vanilla Place Guesthouse for 3 nights during a three week trip around Thailand after reading great reviews on Trip Advisor and were delighted with our choice. This was one of our favourite and most memorable hotels due to Mr Kem’s friendly and helpful nature, offering advice and arranging trips. The guesthouse is situated an easy 15...

Vanilla place is a cosy family-run hotel, very conveniently located, close to the Night Market. The owner, Mr Kem, his wife and all the staff are extremely nice and helpful. They suggested and arranged for us several outdoor activities with reliable partners at convenient prices. Thanks to them we've really got the best of Chiang Mai in just three days.

Vanilla place is a nice guest house. Rooms are basic, and very clean. The owners are very nice and helpful. However, our deluxe rooms (the more expensive rooms they have) were on the front street which is VERY noisy. We could hardly sleep. Mr. Kem, the owner, appologized, but had no available rooms to offer. On the 2nd night they...

My husband and I stayed at Vanilla Place for 5 nights. Even though this Boutique Guesthouse is classified under a budget hotel because is fairly inexpensive, it definitely gives you a top class service. We have been travelling for a few months now and it's very hard to find places like this. Our room was very clean and had a...

We have just stayed at Vanilla Place for 6 nights and really enjoyed it. Mr Kem, Mrs Kat, Miss Pim and the girls all went out of their way to ensure that we had everything we needed and that we enjoyed our stay in Chiang Mai. They were all so helpful and it was good to be able to get...

Mr.Kem and his assistant Ms. Pim (who stayed in Canada for 10 years) are the major attractions of this quaint boutique hotel. My family of four (girl 12 and boy 14), stayed for 3 nights in Chiang Mai, the 2nd night doing an overnight eco-trek to one of the hill tribes. It was an incredible adventure that included elephant rides,...

Kem and his wife Kat were very welcoming and so helpful when I needed any information. I stayed for 3 nights in a room with ensuite and a window only in the bathroom for 700 baht per night. The room was pleasant and very clean. In fact the entire place was lovely. I could hear some noise from my room...
