The Lamphu Tree House is in a great location with many of Bangkok's best attractions very nearby. We arrived after a 13 hour flight to be graciously received by the staff, who immediately helped us with our baggage and brought us a complimentary mango drink. We were then taken to our rooms; they were very clean and spacious, with all...

Lovely quiet spot not far from the action in Bankok! Rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. Lobby, pool and dining area were cozy and inviting....the staff took good care of us. We were very impressed with the free New Years Eve buffet provided to us and the staff by the ownership :) Would stay here again if we come back...

I stayed there a couple of nights and was delighted by the style of the rooms, the location near a small canal and the friendliness and usefulness of the staff. The hotel is conveniently located near most historical sights and is a 5 minute walk from Khao San road but in a quiet area.

We were surprised to find this place as comfortable as it was for the price. Excellent deal! The owners were very friendly and accomodating, food good, room clean, facilities neat and new and taken care of. Everything you needed, quiet, pool, rooftop patio, internet etc. and it was off of Khao San Road which was a relief to us but...

No probs with my online booking & I pretty much agree with all the comments so far - friendly, clean, nice breakfast (if luke warm), room safe, but everything I'd expect - without going overboard with the praise. Food fairly priced & tasty but the internet should've been free. Location is great to explore the Kao San Road & the...

This guesthouse/hotel was the best choice we could make. We made a reservation by e-mail witch went quite soft and smooth. When we arrived from Hanoi we were welcomed with a cool fruitdrink. The rooms were light and comfortable. And the swimmingpool is a big plus! In our room we had free wifi (you can get a code at the...

This is probably our favorite hotel in a major city in Southeast Asia. It is relaxing, quiet, and comfortable. The pool is wonderful after the heat of Bangkok. The rooms are wonderful, the staff is friendly, and the breakfast was fantastic. In terms of Bangkok, the location is ideal. Far from the noise, but close to everything. I would definitely...

Me and my girlfriend stopped here for a couple of nights when we landed in bangkok en route to ko samui and also the night before we flew back. We absolutely loved the hotel, great rooms, good food and helpful staff but the finding it was a nightmare! it's only a couple of mins from khaosan road but taxi drivers/tuk...

Despite printing out the detailed instruction for the taxi driver, we still managed to end up at the wrong Lamphu House, it seems there is no easy way to get there in a taxi, but once we turned up we were welcomed with a nice free drink and taken up to our room, which was spacious, had a nice view...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
