On checking into this hotel you will be asked to provide a 1000 baht deposit in cash (even though they also have your credit card details).
The staff speak good English and are very friendly and helpful.
The rooms are a good size, clean but very dated. They are in need of refurbishment and renovation. The airconditioner is very noisy and the ventilation is poor.
However considering the price this hotel is a good budget option.
The breakfast buffet is simple (bread, chicken, soup, rice, sausages etc.), more suited to Asian tastes but filling. It is the same breakfast spread everyday.
Location is accessible to most market & malls as it is in the center of the city. Only downside is you have to pass by Baiyoke Sky's parking lot inorder to reach Baiyoke Boutique, and the alley has unpleasant smell.
As for the rooms, there's something that tells you that the hotel is old. You can smell it when you enter the room. Maybe its with the rug or the air-conditioner. But its tolerable.
Breakfast Buffet is so-so.. more on eggs, bread, salad.. The only Thai food they served (during our 3 nights stay) are glass noodles and chicken curry. Everyday is just like that..
So the location is very convenient for getting around the city by public transport but unfortunately the rest isn't the best
Really dated hotel with an unbearable smell as soon as you leave the reception
Carpet everywhere, 80s style and both in the corridors and in the rooms a musty and musty smell prevails also because the window in the room could not be opened to let the air change!
Small room, very noisy external air conditioning unit, small and uncomfortable bathroom with tub/shower
Breakfast is quite varied and of good quality but they should offer cereals and more sweets
Hotel ok for those who have to come to the city for a night then return to the airport but not for a holiday
Second , The room is huge , air con is cold but I don’t feel comfortable with the condition such as it’s old building, bad bathroom ( even though is clean ) bed mattress very hard , room and corridor very smelly. It’s bad odor of carpet and not enough ventilation.
I don’t want to complaint because it is my fault to choose this hotel from the beginning. I knew I’m fuzzy and should not choose it.
But for those who are in budget, this hotel is very good from it’s location. It just 5 minute walk to Ratchaprarop station to Suvarnabhumi airport and cathucak market It ‘s also located at the back of Baiyoke Sky which a night market and Pratunam market just 5 minutes walk and 10 minute walk to Platinum and 15 minute walk to the Big C supermarket & central.
Anyway thank you for your hospitality. Therefore , I still gave you an excellent.
The elevator opens in the middle of the floors. So if you have your luggage with you, you would have to carry it one flight of stairs, either going up or going down.
The room that was given to us is somewhat old already. The safe box is not working.
The shampoo dispenser is not working. When we requested for a refill of the shampoo and liquid soap, the man at the information was a little irritated when we did the request over the phone. Not friendly staff.
No complimentary slippers were provided. I had to go out and buy 1 at the night market outside the Baiyoke sky tower.
The breakfast was good. Enough to get you through the morning. Same menu throughout our 4 days of stay.
The receptionist informed us that they only had photos, which we were fine with and ready to pay for. However, the situation became disrespectful. When I was filling out a form where it was supposed to mention "traveling to," the receptionist impatiently pointed out that it was for an email address and asked me to sign it quickly.
I tried to explain that she should remain calm and patient with customers, but her tone turned impatient and angry. I even warned her that I would leave a negative review, but she continued with an indifferent and angry attitude, making noise and displaying rude behavior.
This receptionist's behavior reflects poorly on your hotel. When in a service role, she represents the hotel through her words and actions. Personal emotions should not interfere with professionalism in a business setting.
The good - This is a budget hotel that offers breakfast. If you are on a budget, then book this hotel. Plus, this hotel is just a walking distance from Pratunam Market and Airport train. The bellboy was nice.
Just okay - For the room, it was okay, it looks old. The bed is okay. The aircon works but takes time to cool the room. No drawers to place our bags. The entire vibe of the room looks old.
The Bad - I will say that this hotel is indeed haunted based on my experience here.
Day 1, while taking a bath, there is a weird feeling that someone was also in the bathroom like I am being looked at. My partner felt that also so we had to open the door when we use the bathroom just to shrug off this feeling.
Night 1, while in the middle of sleep, there was a feeling that someone just jumped on our bed and woke me and my partner from our sleep. To add, there were weird knocks coming from our walls and sounds of items falling. It was scary as these knocks happened past midnight.
Night 1, from the inside, you can definitely hear the noises outside from other guests walking and talking outside. One of the scary experiences I had on Night 1 was I had to look at who were the people that are talking loudly through our room's door viewer. I confirmed that they were also hotel guests, but I saw from our door viewer an open room, with lights on. Based on what I see, there seem to be no guests yet in that room, but I saw a girl wearing white standing inside the room.
Night 2, I was about to sleep when I hear someone (not my partner) saying my name out loud (a man with deep voice). This event really scared me.
We booked at Room 531. The room where I saw the girl was 528 (which was a haunted room based on other reviews).
